She took the same mental and physical tests that everyone else took in order to graduate. Affirmative Action may have got her to the door but hard work got her through the door. If what I stated is discounted than everyone ( Whites, Hispanics, Asians,men,women,etc) were DEI hires.
Hiring people like this makes it easier for corruption within law enforcement. This officer would look the other was and keep a tight lip at whatever police department she was placed at. It is wilfully done on purpose.

The information stays stored in its memory and it can be retrieved remotely. There's a story of a rental car that downloaded the entire contact list of one renter, and the next person who rented it had access to the entire list, including names, numbers, email address and geographical location. Got to be extremely careful with this technology. Skynet and The Terminator are becoming a reality 😂🤣

Only if the person failed to do a background check should that person be fired. If the person did one but nothing came up, then why should that person be fired? Wouldn't be that person's fault if the information wasn't made available during her background check.

Had a friend graduate through the state's state trooper program. One of the individuals to graduate with him was a big individual (6'5" / 250lbs) that blew the doors off all the training procedures and such. He showed up for his first day of work slobbering drunk, and yes, he drove himself to work that morning. He was immediately arrested and fired.

Probationary period is usually 1 year after graduation. During probation an officer can be fired (without having a trial board) for just about any type of violation of departmental guidelines, procedures, or policies. I’m sure being a suspect in multiple unauthorized use cases would normally be more than enough to get a probationary officer fired. The department wouldn’t even have to wait for the case to be adjudicated.
It’s 2 years where i live and first year you will ride with FTO.
Then they should have already fired her and publicly announced their decision. What's taking so long if there doesn't need to be adjudication?

I'm confused as well -- terrible reporting, but I may have pieced it together: The cars were stolen, recovered, and in police custody until they could be processed and returned to the owners. Essentially, she used items from the police evidence room, in this case, the cars. Chances are this is common, which might explain the long investigation, but she wasn't properly warned by her seniors to cover her tracks. Just speculating.
