This is a wonderful little printer for light duty use ( a page or two here and there ) - excellent too for those needing to print in mobile situations. I love that it DOES NOT need any ink !!
Excellent presentation. Watching the video helped me when purchasing because I had inadvertently placed an A4 unit in my cart, and this made me double-check what I was buying. I also bought their M221 portable label maker to compliment the printer
in my research i saw that the print out tends to fad over time (because of the paper).. do you know how long the print outs last before starting to fade?
How do I charge it? I bought earlier this year and only use it when I travel. Was getting ready to use it yesterday and it does not stay on. When I push the start button after three seconds, the light only flashes and then goes off the printer goes off. I plugged it up with the wires that came with it for over an hour and still not holding a charge or something. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
So it's like the receipt that fades over time. 😢 But can you reuse the paper for inkless printing again? Maybe put it in the sun or iron it to make it blank???
it is similar, best not to keep the paper in the sun, heat makes it go black, you don't want to iron it. it is mostly for quick, wireless, portable printing when you need it, not long term storage of documents.
@@ItstheDaveShow1 I think he is referring to the section in the app that is worded Scan. @sytesmedia504 the section in the app that says scan is not referencing using the printer as a scanner it is a different function under the program

Sorry, but I was hoping for more information about how well it might hold up for people who work out of their car on a daily basis. Likely the biggest demand for this product, and students. If there's any expense later on, like new cartridges or anything like that? What's the long-term Maintenance cost, if any? I'm buying one for my friend who is a Hospice nurse who drives to patients all day long and sometimes needs to print things.
thanks for your message but did you actually watch the video? I mention you cannot use regular paper, need to use thermal paper. No ink used, no cartridges either, it works by heat on thermal paper. don't see any long term maintenance. works good for most cases, but not for long term storage of the printed paper as it is thermal it may fade over time. *like a thermal printed receipt you might get. if left in heat it will turn the paper black too.
@ItstheDaveShow1 Thank you very much for your quick reply. Sorry, I've watched so many reviews I missed that in your review. My bad. I guess that P831 Portable Printers is the only one that uses Regular and Thermal paper? Hmmmm, this is harder than I thought it would be too find she something easy and low maintenance to use. But again, thank you very much for the help 😊
June 2024. I purchased one. It prints with the paper that comes with it. I bought rolls of paper and for some reason, it’s not printing presently. I am doing something wrong that I am not figuring?😫
ah, sorry. I had done another printer review that is the similar in black. as long as you can get the document to your phone then the app can see it, I don't think it was difficult.
@@ItstheDaveShow1 The M08F printer I am using (purchased it a week ago) hangs on to the paper done printing the sheet (when using single sheets of thermal paper). You have to press both "PUSH" buttons, which releases the paper so you can take it out of the printer. If you don't press the two buttons, the printer has a pretty tight grip on it and feels like you are going to rip the paper. I had to read through the manual to find out how to release the paper.
@@JohnandBev The unit that I recently got, when finished, the paper comes completely out of the unit. The only time that I have had the problem you are describing is when I first got in and had issues properly lining up the paper and it would shift to one side
I did read that the big con is that they don't print real A4 size paper, but you have to cut a bit of an A4 sheet to feed it into the printer. Meaning that the A4 size is 21,6 cm. wide (8,50 inches) , and the printer needs 21 cm. max. (8,26 inches) Is that true?
that I am not sure of, the paper I had is considered letter size 8 1/2 by 11 is what it says. I don't remember what the sample size that came with it was
That is incorrect. People are not paying attention to the printers they are ordering and are not paying attention to the paper either and some people are buying the A4 version when they meant to buy the standard letter size and have ordered the letter sized paper instead of the A4. People jump on the pricing because the A4 printer tends to run on sale more often than does the letter sized printer. Where if they would have made the mistake in the reverse they should not have had any problem running the A4 paper in the letter sized printer
I have a m832 and I'm having trouble printing on 57mm paper. When I print on A4 paper it's fine, but when I change it to 57mm. I place it on the 5 marker in the printer and select 5.3 (there is no 5.7), but the print out comes out really tiny

So a FOOL doesn't know that there is a print function on phones, tablets and computers and you would print it in the same manner. It is just printer that is thermal based and not ink based. It is not new technology. Brother has been releasing this type of portable printer for years. The difference is Phomemo has found a way to produce quality based thermal printers so the masses can afford them.
Additionally, it helped tattoo artists because when they were running up the price for the Brother units to the point where used units were costing as much as new Brother units, and you still had to buy a new battery because the older units' batteries tended to be discharged to the point of not being able to be recharged. So, tattoo artists are now buying these units as well

you should be able to, it connects with bluetooth
