the movie is so scary and stays with you days after you've seen it. and i think it's truly because you REALLY care for these people. the people in horror movies and thrillers we rarely give a rats ass if they live or die... and with this family you deeply care. i was really crushed about the ending. i was so sad. and traumatized lol.
