I know this video isn’t just about Renee, and all the people in this video are so talented, but I really liked seeing Renee do a totally different character than Regina. It really shows her flexibility as an actress
Charlotte My suspicion, based with working on local / regional HS theatre awards, is the mics are shared so this was the easiest solution to get performers quickly set up and not require an audio tech during their hair and makeup process.
a tape and go situation after they are ready is a safer bet, why make the process more complicated and risk technical issues when it's hardly necessary for the competition.

I completely agree. She was missing the fire, pain, and passion that are required of that song. And she didn’t belt that last note which I found very strange.
MacersTheBoss no i saw her performance it was great and she deserved the win and was way better than her competition here as well,, she’s great leave her out of the picture & i just don’t think these other ladies stepped up to the plate. like i said they all have amazing voices,, acting wise it was all very disappointing. Renee’s finalist solo at the Jimmys was amazing , very different than what you can see up here
I think the witch and Renee smashed actually! The first note Renee sane I was hooked and wanting to cry, you can see it in her face. Her voice is so soulful and that one riff she does kills me, you just note she won lol after that riff
I love how even these girl are competing against each other for an award they are still performing great together, and seem genuinely happy.

acting wise the last girl got it. voice wise the girl who played the witch got it. Renee got everything!!
