I am ordinal Japanese who grew up with Ghibli films and music by Joe Hisaishi. Now, as an adult, I feel that people all over the world love Ghibli's movies and Joe Hisaishi's music, which I feel proves that we all share the same universality as human beings around the world. And I'm very proud of Ghibli and Joe Hisaishi for creating such great works. Great movies and music transcend borders and race.
Feeling just the same: I'm from Italy and grew up with Studio Ghibli's works, from Future Boy Conan to Castle of Cagliostro, Porco Rosso, Nausicaa, Laputa, Princess Mononoke and the more recent ones such as Howl's moving castle. I cannot deny that these works had a great influence over the man that I have become (for the good and bad XD).
We're really lucky to be in this era Joe Hisaishi exists. edit: i'm touched by all of you having the same feeling as mine‼︎ (Actually, i'm japanese and sorry for my broken english)

Ugh, I could listen to that "Symphonic poem NAUSICÄA" all day. People praise Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro and Princess Mononoke to the moon and back but nobody ever talks about Nausicäa 😔. It's honestly one of my favorite films from Studio Ghibli, right up there with the other films I've just mentioned.
I'm with you. Its my favourite. It had an old school charm. And the music was composed in a way that reminded me of old fantasy movies. This is probably my favourite piece of music from Ghibli films.
When I first watched Nausicaa I wasn't as impressed as I was so used to the other Ghibli movies like Totoro and Howl. But as I listened to the music from Nausicaa and as more time passed the more I became convinced that Nausicaa is one of the best Ghibli movies with one of the best soundtracks. It's just so timeless, and the images from the movie are still in my mind when I listen to the music.
Hey ! If you enjoyed watching Nausicäa, I would advise you to read the seven volumes of the manga in which the story is much more sophisticated. The movie is great, but the manga is breathtaking !

I just want to add here,i am fighting with Borderline personality disorder,psychologists,psychiatrists,medicine...my heart is full of love,but also pain and dark memories that i can not get rid of..nothing but nothing helps me as Joe Hisaishi and Studio Ghibli anime,it brings me that little girl full of sunshine again, sometimes i got angry,why there is no real Totoro to protect children from all bad things that happens,but then i got courage again and continue to live. I know there are so many like me out there,just wanna say we will be happy too,don’t give up❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️put that knife down,or any suicidal thoughts that you have,fight back,it will pass too❤️❤️
hope you are doing better. i've never struggled with any real mental illness, except for those of self-loathing and thoughts of my appearance, but you and anyone else struggling through mental illnesses inspire me so much. you guys face so much hardship and yet some people just fail to recognize it. i admire your strength and determination, your optimism and knowledge. wishing you all the best!

i don't know why but this music makes me feel very emotional. it just made me realise how pathetic my life is. i thought and still think that i'm not going to live past 18. but reading these comments helped me realise there's a future for me beyond this.

1人で泣きそうな時、寂しい時、悲しい時、嬉しい時、楽しい時、そこにはいつもジブリと美しい曲がありました。

作品で勿論映画館で見れていなかったの
ですが、やはり金曜ロードショーや
家のDVDで観るのとは格段に違いました。
内容も感動しましたが、最後のエンドロールが流れた時全身で久石譲さんの楽曲

久石さんの曲はどれも元々この世界に存在していたような、上手く言えないけどそれは空や大地のように当たり前にある物で世界が表した音楽のように感じます。
悩みが尽きなくて落ち込む事ばかりですけど、こんな素晴らしい表現が出来る世界でこうやってそれに触れて感動的になれただけで、生きていて良かったです。
part1を聴きながら勉強してて、2に変えた時に本人って気づいてびっくりしました。中学の時に音楽の課題で新聞作成があり、その時に何となく久石譲さんのことについて調べました（何となくでごめんなさい）。でもそれがきっかけで高2の現在まで、ずっと本当に大好きです。合唱コンで先輩が歌ってた曲がずっと頭から離れなくて、調べたら旅立ちの時でした。久石さんの曲か〜！そりゃ好きな訳だ！と思いました🥺 落ち込んだ時とか部屋を暗くしてヘッドフォンで大音量で聴いて癒されてます。オーケストラのdvd等も買いました。いつか生演奏を聴くのが夢です😭早くコロナが終息しますように。久石さん、沢山の素敵な音楽を創り出してくれてありがとうございます😔😔🤍 久石さんに届きますように。

昨年の映画館での上映、暇を見つけては観に行っていました。
特にもののけ姫はジブリでは一番好きな作品で、生まれる前に発表された作品だったためDVDでしか見たことがありませんでした。
劇場でもののけ姫のタイトルと共にアシタカせっ記が流れてきたときは、あまりの音圧、迫力、音の凄さに涙が溢れました。
コロナで疲れきって希望が見いだせない時期でしたが、生きててよかったと心から思えました！
ジブリ作品って実は大人が見て心に響くものだと思っているのですが、そういった大人独特のノスタルジーはやはり久石さんの音によってより深まっていると思います。
本当に、素敵な音楽を届けてくださって、ありがとうございます。
