Big problem that no one has mentioned - you can't play a 10 and Kane, they take the same space. And we currently have *two* 10s. A false 9 needs two 8s and wide players - Jude and Phil - with Gordon and Saka wide.
Bellingham played CM for Birmingham and Dortmund, just because of one season at Madrid people are trying to force him into the most advanced midfield position for England. Rice and Bellingham, Foden in the 10. Gordon Kane Saka or Palmer
If he was not played in that same position as he do, the backlash on Southgate will be more vocal, people will point at that and say that's why England is underperforming

Gordon on the left, Palmer on the right, Foden 10, Kane up top, and Rice and Mainoo playing deeper. The success of the team before any individual players.
I agree with you. Bellingham has to be dropped been poor but you know Southgate hasn't the bottle to do it. Foden has to be 10. Trent is not the answer very overrated. I would rather have Saka left back for balance.
Rest Kane and possibly Rice too. They are burnt out. By the time Kane scored, Rice was sweating profusely: not handling the heat and looks unwell. These guys have played ridiculous minutes this season. Same for Bellingham. There should be enough depth in this squad to cover. Problem the manager is clueless.
Manager needs to brave enough to drop a “superstar” for the benefit of the structure of the team. No point having all these wonderful “undroppable” players if they can’t function as a team. The strongest team doesn’t always mean the best players.

Stunningly brave
C'mon you don't think the Allardyce one is better hic
Wrighty is so right about not playing semi-finals at Wembley!!! Should never have been a thing!!!
Bring back semis at villa park and old Trafford!!!
@@Tubbyz1986 yes!
Funny enough if memory serves me right it came in for Arsenal and Spurs 93 and then us owls and the pigs moaned and got ours moved there too, not sure if they went back for a few years before the permanent change
@@Tubbyz1986Definitely mate!!!
One of the greatest episodes wow. Ian what a legend. God fearing for sure. Wow.
First 8 and half minutes is pure gold
Big problem that no one has mentioned - you can't play a 10 and Kane, they take the same space. And we currently have *two* 10s.
A false 9 needs two 8s and wide players - Jude and Phil - with Gordon and Saka wide.
100% the issue. That and Kane looks a little crocked.
0:42 “You’ve been there for 2 hours I can tell you it made no difference “💀💀💀💀
I didnt even think he meant to insult, it just came out that way, you can tell Roy doesnt care about makeup on people
@loola456 or he was just having a laugh 🤦♂️
Bellingham played CM for Birmingham and Dortmund, just because of one season at Madrid people are trying to force him into the most advanced midfield position for England. Rice and Bellingham, Foden in the 10. Gordon Kane Saka or Palmer
True but needs a rest ready for hopefully Italy and I would drop Kane before anyone else
If he was not played in that same position as he do, the backlash on Southgate will be more vocal, people will point at that and say that's why England is underperforming
7:45 roy with the ‘mini retirement’ dig 😂
The best part of the show is when your all just chatting, love that🙂
I enjoy this programme more than any other football show. All the lads on it are entertaining and interesting and some of the stuff they bring up gives real insight into the game.
The group messages from Roy were class 😂😂😂
Day 250 of Stick to Football viewers not having the faintest idea of what "class" means 🤣 Everything is "class" to you.
Look I love Roy as much as anyone but those texts are *not* class, lol.
@@MarkHogan994 they are class.
@@MarkHogan994 They are 😂
What group messages?
Maybe not class but definitely true.
Would drop Kane for Watkins.
@@RrayginoThis even.
I swear, between this show, Talk sports, and The Rest Is Football, I get a lot of laughter from it all and at least figure out what's going on.
I gotta he honest, the behind the scenes bits are top class
The fact Wrighty mentioned Ince getting the captaincy as one of the best moments of his career is just a testament to his character, being that happy for somebody else. Absolute top guy Unc
Keane at the beginning of the show: „I never have a down!“ Well you wouldn‘t be if you‘re naturally grumpy all the time!😂😂😂😂
Keano going for a red card in the first minute 😂
Spot on Wrighty. Wembley is your prize for winning the semi final.
I do agree Neil but I’m from Coventry and us making the semi final in the FA cup and playing at Wembley against Man Utd was something special for us. I do think the FA made the Wembley the venue for the semi finals to make more money though and don’t care about the sentimental value of only the cup finals being at Wembley.
As much as I love Stick to football, the behind the scenes segments are absolute gold. I'd watch a whole episode of just that chat for sure.
How could you not love Wrighty......a national treasure. Agree with his Room 101 stuff as well. Him & Keane seem to have a bromance going 😂
Big up Roy,
they give it the big talk, and none have won " f all" at the international level 💯💯
Thats right, but neither has Roy.
@@Allegro_Giustohe’s Irish, we are a small country… towards England.

The FA Cup semi-final comment from Wrighty is spot on.
Not really in to football (shock horror) but I could listen to these amazing people talk forever……all the history and knowledge between them and their guests. Top class.
