- I consider the Recon the king of the hill when it comes to sluices. It out performs much larger equipment for it weight and size. 2 people can work this unit no problem. When set correctly the capture rate and speed are remarkable.

It runs as fast if not faster and as much as bigger sluices . Out of everything I use it’s the king of the hill. Not all are created equal

Love mine I have the expedition size had it for years now you’re right that little fluid bed sluice really does a great job. It’s crazy how good they do. Nice vid 👍🏻

I know your limited on space and weight with your setup but Arbor Fabricating makes awesome bucket classifiers they are deep with handles making it easy to classify large amounts of material quickly.
Yes I know , they are quality for sure but $$$. This basket is only $20 😂
@@RemOutdoors I know the price with supports is rough I broke down and got the 1/8 loved it so much I got a 20 mesh recently and I'll never get rich doing this I keep spending more then I bring in :)

You do need good flow . Setup is key .
Looks like a wonderful little sluice. And I have a question if you know the answer how big of a bilge pump would it take to run at home?
you would have to run a separate pump for the fluid bed. Or a gas pump 👎 The amount of water flow needed to make it work properly is more than a standard sluice . The V Ridge riffle comes very close in the speed of clearing and capture .
How often do you have to clean up the fluid bed?
Are you taking it down to bedrock or?

The man who created the Recon and Expedition Kevin Bell made the stand im using. He is currently putting them into production and as soon as I have info on them I will share
