This was The Haunted's peak for me. When I was living in Australia I got to Opeth and Children of Bodom, narrowly missed out on The Haunted - aside from missing Pantera back in 2001 in New Zealand that's the only show I dearly regret missing. Every one of them was at their peak.

Anybody know what time signature this is in? It sounds like theres and extra 8th note in there somewhere, so maybe 4/4 and 9/8? It’s been driving me insane for years

Dolving was their best singer, and lyricist. He was unique, not the same ol and ol. The albums with him still hold up today in 2023. Marco is absolutely nothing special, and all the new music they make is nothing original like they did with Dolving. I love death vocals, but Marco bores the hell outta me. Ola's few new tracks with the Haunted are their only saving grace.
The Haunted had some really killer riffs… I feel like they could have done more than they did though or let them go longer… A perfect example is the riff and groove under this solo. It’s heavy as fk as the rhythm guitar and bass get serious right as it goes into it… but they only play it like 2 repetitions and then they just sorta leave it and start going into these slow octave chords (which I guess is a signature haunted thing anyway) but don’t diddle me for like 5 seconds and blue ball me! Keep that stroke going boys!!!! SLIP IT IN
