I can definitely see why many fans regard Zorran as one of their favourite characters. In fact the more I watch Tugs, the more I realised that Zorran isn't 100% evil. If he was, he would've left Izzy on his own or just wouldn't call out to Ten Cents to get out of danger. Prior to this, I thought Antagonists and Villains were the same thing. Guess I was wrong.
Well, antagonist is often on pages of the Villains Wiki. For example, Tai Lung's page has Tai Lung is the main antagonist of Kung Fu Panda on it even though he's a villain.
I agree he's more antagonist over villain. He's more of a prick rival that doesn't realise he's the only one in the rivalry. Johnny Cuba, now he's a villain
I remember when I was very young, probably six years old, when I went to this old library known as the "Centennial Library". A huge building that sat in front of an amtrak station. My mother accidentally grabbed a TUGS VHS due to them looking so similar. For years I remembered a strange episode of Thomas with boats, snow, and a train without a face that worked on a dockside. That's when, as a young adult, I rediscovered Tugs. To this day I find myself enamored with the series. Zorran is utterly interesting. From his voice actor circumstances to his bombastic, theatrical villainy. I cannot help but love him. Second only to Zebedee.
Oh boy oh boy, I’ve been waiting for this moment talking about Zorran by far one of my favorite Z stacks well Zebedee is my number one favorite Z stack, but Zorran is close
Agree. It sucks Tugs ended after 13 episodes because it would’ve been interesting if Zebedee got a redemption arc. Zebedee sort reminds of Kronk from The Emperors New Groove because they are both henchmen who are compassionate who don’t reason there boss don’t really care about them.
@@Koopalingfan I know, right I mean, if tugs would continue we would probably see more depth of every character like what’s more to top hats character arc Tencents will possibly control his emotions more mainly his anger or have an episode where his and sunshine friendship was tested will possibly get more or warrior hero stories well, maybe focus on characters we didn’t touch on like Lillie or Hercules and Zorran it would be pretty cool
@@Zerneygreensaberman0728 Agree. Also explore more of Captain Star and Zero relationship and maybe a backstory. Just imagine the fates of the Z-Stacks. Also the female characters having a bigger role.
Watching this made me think what if TUGS had continued going much like Thomas did. The episodes we got are very T&F Series 2 in general look so it would be neat to have seen what the show would've been like in the styles of T&F series 3, 4/5, 6/7, 8-11, 12, Nitrogen, Arc, BWBA, etc
Zorran is my favorite TUGS character. As a younger viewer, I saw him as a scheming jerk and opportunist. As I grew older however, his complexities as a character became so much clearer and really helped me form the distinction between an antagonist and a true villain. Also, I find it ironic that my two favorite episodes, Pirate and High Tide either don't feature him or just have him make a brief appearance!😂
I’m hoping to have my ERTL Zorran picture ready this month. Unfortunately my phone’s storage has been pretty crappy lately so we’ll have to wait and see. Fingers crossed I do finish him.
Zorran is without a doubt one of my favourite TUGS characters, and one of my favourite antagonistic characters period. Not only is he entertaining to watch, but a lot of his character is definitely carried by Chris Tulloch’s phenomenal vocal performance. I actually think his voice for Zorran could also work for Diesel as well, as Kerry Shale’s voice for Diesel in the CGI series is kinda similar to Zorran as he gave Diesel a Cockney accent much like Zorran.
I love Zorran! It’s my favourite show ever! Nah but srsly though the intro was hilarious! Zorran’s such a complex character and it’ll definitely be cool to see this deep dive!
Munitions probably has to be my favorite depiction of Zorran as it delves into then unseen layers. He may be an opportunist, but he knows when to put that aside when he and the Stars can reach common ground on things. He's smart, logical, but ISN'T VILLAINOUS, as his schemes don't delve into illegal territory, but will just slightly push the envelope.
11:34 That'd be a great idea for fans to do Tugs fan content much how like everyone is doing with Thomas to keep his legacy alive! Why not do this cuz Tugs has much as much as a big following like Thomas plus like Thomas they have the original props on display for people to see!
Zorran is maybe antagonistic towards the Star Fleet, but he has redeemable qualities and humane traits. Just like Agent Red from A Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon (2019), Carmelita Fox from Sly Cooper Video Game Franchise (2002-2013) and Sunset Shimmer from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls Franchise (2013-2017).
I agree with you that Zorran isn't a villian, but I disagree that Thanos isn't evil. Yes, Thanos had noble intentions, but anyone who justifies taking innocent lives regardless of intent is evil in my eyes. I know that doesn't have much to do with Tugs so I'll also say that this was a good analysis of Zorran despite what you or I think about Thanos.
ngl Zorran is my favirote Zed stack due to how complexed he is and I also had a headcannon for Zorran. His whistle is actaclly a fog horn and when Zero bought him he had a fog horn placed on him to intiminate the stars. Reply if you like this cannon
Zak indeed has been shown to be the only Z Stack to not have any good shown. Zebedee’s definitely shown his good side as well as Zip along with Zug at some level, with Zorran here not being completely bad, but Zak has not came off as all that good ever but I think it would be interesting if he was the only one to just be 100% callous and awful.
I used to just like Zorran, I didn't think much of him. But recently he's become my favourite character. Most of it probably comes from Chris Tulloch's performance!
Zorram May not be my favorite character but I do like him a lot. There's like a lot of things I like about him Most likely his devious and arrogant and more about him.
That makes no sense. Vader was a slave who both feared and hated Sidious. He made several attempts to overthrow him, and only ever feigned his loyalty. Zorran never gave any indication that he feared or wanted to overthrow Captain Zero. He was completely loyal. The only thing that Vader & Zorran have in common is that they share some occasional humane qualities (though Zorran has that in spades next to Vader), but besides that, their relationships with their respective leaders are nothing alike.
@@cindersandashesuk5744 yeah that makes more sense but like sometimes they had some good times mainly in the comics where vader felt like a equal but that rarely happens but zorran also kind of feared Zero like at the end of sunshine where he feels slightly frightened at least I think he is
@@kidswonderstories4144 He seemed more surprised about being actually seen. He did sound more disappointed than afraid. Zorran was probably disappointed that he failed Captain Zero out of loyalty.
Nice video mate 👍 I do think there is more to the joker than just 'sh_ts and giggles', his role in the dark knight wasn't to cause random chaos, it was to push Batman and by in large, the rest of gotham to the brink of insanity. 🃏 🤡

This is also how I see Diesel from Thomas. More of an anti-hero rather than a villain or even an anti-villain in most of the stories. They are very similar.
I believe Diesel's a villain in most of the stories and shows anti stuff in some of them more like. At least Thomas & Friends ensure of that. You may disagree but I hope you understand what I'm saying all the same which would be perfect enough.
