    We’re going to Big Bend in a couple of weeks ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxSt0aBrzyS1nxONvwm1e0u7ZDFD_eypAO so I bought these to use during the hikes, didn’t want to miss anything. As you can see by the photos I tested the phone adapter by taking a phone of a power pole on the next block and you can see the results. It took a couple of minutes to line the phone camera up to the eye piece, there’s a bit of a learning curve, but once it was longed up it stayed in place without any issues. So far I’m impressed with the feel and the weight, the neck strap is wide and soft so it feels good on my neck. I look forward to using it with my friend and grandson in Big Bend!

    ... These would be completely useless.
    There's a reason Fujinon's 40x150 binoculars are tripod-mounted, weigh 19 kilograms, and cost $30,000 (without the necessary tripod). These are apparently capable of three times the magnification, and cost $300. 🤔
    There is a reason for this. That reason is not "Sunagor has produced a better product". Sure, they'll absolutely zoom past 30x. Good luck deciphering useful information from them at that magnification, though!

    This is misleading marketing. No ordinary cheap binoculars provide a good picture with more than 30x magnification and even at 50x provides such a binocular a blurred image with clear chromatic aberration. Then talk about 100x or more is nothing but deception. A gray and blurry image with strong color defects is the result, you can't make use of such a high magnification.
    Don't buy this crap!

    The best cheap zoom binoculars I ever had were Praktica Sports x25 Zoom. Wow!

  • @brentwoodbay
    @brentwoodbay 7 років тому +28

    Ridiculous!
    1) Avoid 'Zoom' binoculars at all costs. In all the history of binoculars, there have been possibly one or two good zoom binoculars ever made, and they were very expensive.
    2) A magnification of 160 is WAY too high for a 70mm binocular. This is the diameter of the lens farthest from the eye in millimetres. A binocular like this at 160x would give a very dim image.

    Reading some of these comments had me in stitches! :) ...but seriously people , if you are interested in buying a pair of bino's or telescope for that matter, there is a golden mathematical rule... for every inch ( 25.4mm ) of the diameter ( objective lens ) the optimum power ( as in x times magnification ) is 50x per inch. Any claims other than this can be classed as horse shit!. Do some research and educate yourselves before buying. :)

    I had experience with Japanese binoculars, they are really powerful as they said, just they have a big problem: the Eyepiece lens is so small so if you want to have a full image or view you really should to put and stick your eyes to the Eyepieces
    you feel very uncomfortable cos you feel your eyeballs almost touche the lens really ..
    i don not why they make it so? is it really hard or expensive to make a little wide lens for Eyepiece or its just fit for Japanese small eyes ?
