Treasure Distributor could be considered for this deck.
1 less Goldbeard, but a bunch of buffs, due to the shenans between "Summon a copy" and "When you summon a pirate" where each subsequent summon will get 1 more attack.
So on the empty board playing Goldbeard > Distributor > Goldbeard
You'd deal 1 damage from a copy of Distributor going face, then you'd summon your 6/5 Goldbeard and start the chain with a 7/5 Goldbeard hitting face, then a 8/5 Goldbeard hitting face, then a 9/5 Goldbeard hitting face, then a 10/5 Goldbeard hitting face for 35 damage (Compared to 25 from the 5 5/5 Goldbeards hitting face)
Tried it, only good in theory as this combo only work if u shadowstep golbeard then have Sonya on hand with the mini pirate, basically the preparation is already a hassle
@@Discoveryman29 Alternatively, you can just use Cover Artist on Goldbeard and then step both copies.
@@tarille1043 tried it to see if cover artist would copy and attack immediately, doesn't work and also a waste of turn, assuming u don't have any cost reduction on hand that's turn 10 do nothing for you

I had the same discovery when I created a copy of it with Amant'hul. The interaction seems fun and can be quite strong, but I don't think we have enough cards to make it work good atm.

I got the legendary as my second freebie from the rewarda track, I was kinda sad that it wasn't a card that was currently really good or fun.
After a while I realized "Wait, it just says Pirate doesn't it?" then after checking the wording I decided to test the interaction and then try my luck at a deck using some cards from the current expansion, the deck was complete garbage when compared to other meta decks in play, I managed to get the combo 1 or 2 times before giving up.
I'm glad a real deckbuilder caught on to this interaction and made it work (allegedly).
You can do the same thing with reverberations.
I make this deck after i found this interaction after release, can't say it work that well but its fun

in fact this buff made the combo more difficult (in standart), how can you make the goldbeard cost exactly 1 now? I can't imagine how to do this combo with Sonia in standard.

Then a developer will state "Oh, it was not meant to do that", completely remove the interaction and provide no free disenchantment. It's not like other Rogue cards have had any of that.
Yeah, or, as I edited out, decrease his cost by 1, making it impossible to combo with Shadowstep and Sonya; tho, there's still Wild for that if it still works!

I don't understand the wording on that card. The way it reads to me, it would go infinite with any pirate. Because this card summons one, triggering itself, summoning, triggering itself... etc
Not only would this crash the game in Hearthstone if the board was unbounded, it crashes the ruleset of both Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic if this card existed there, as it's an infinite involuntary loop. This results in a draw in Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh just says "no, you can't do that".
Why would it do that? Infinite loops in those games are only problematic if they do not advance the game state in any way. It might in Magic if the card functions exactly the same as it currently does in Hearthstone, where you must continue to summon copies of pirates before the attack occurs, but I believe the stack would put all of these effects in an order in which they would completely resolve (including damage dealt) before more copies are created. Yu-Gi-Oh! would be similar, but the chain works a little differently than in Magic and you are also limited in board space which would matter depending on how the effect is translated into Yu-Gi-Oh! lingo; either way, the pirates are dealing damage.
