This is as close to a Police like Sting band you will get. They sound good….I like the stripped down vibe. The drummer is very much channeling Stewart…which is fine by me.
Yes it was the fantastic ELEW (Eric Lewis)! Missed most of his set unfortunately but caught his last two songs: ua-cam.com/video/Q5fQ7ksg2Qw/v-deo.htmlsi=Em_Sog6D0osKmkmU
Straight three piece - much respect.! . the diminished - till the wheels fall off. . sorry the $$'s too tight these days to buy access to your you for me, but Glad 4 U . yeah honest appraisal - it's not really that good after all - is it
thx for sharing. def solid in person. was a tight show and special to experience sting live at a pretty intimate venue. get that $$ is tight 💸 which is one reason am recording for others to enjoy ☺️
His voice sounds great. It's really held up. However...... This is a weak band. Both guys are ok, but this feels like a tour for maximum profit. Which is his right, but I would definitely pass on this lineup
@@hornsbykid valid, but I don’t think we will see Sting changing things up. for me, he’s a romantic song writer with a unique and timeless sound. the crowd was loving it, and so was I but there are no peak musical moments to experience at a Sting concert any more. still worth catching for a great live show from a world class talent.
I've got to respectfully disagree. The guitarist is Dominic Miller (whom I have seen in person and is an amazing player) He's been with Sting for over 30 years. Obviously the comparison to The Police will happen, since this is a 3 piece, but Dominic doesn't use a lot of chorus or delay like Andy Summers, pretty much straight into the amp, so it's going to be a more sterile sound. Also, they didn't use keyboard or keyboard pedals on this tour, furthering the sterile sound. I think Sting likes to experiment. Sometimes he goes out with a lot of players, but this time he wanted the sound to be really stripped down. I would have loved to have been at this show. It's much more personal then the canned "wall of sound" that you get so often the last decade or so. Raw is so rare, nowadays.
The guitarist has been with him since “The Soul Cages”…not exactly a big change up. It’s a stripped down band with a drummer who is probably more rock oriented but other than that, it doesn’t sound “off” to my ears.
they def held back imo. talent is there but this seems to be more about sting and packing in what they can in a 2 hour set. from looks of it, sting will be touring for another 30 years so will have to see how this ages in time ⏳😂
Hey, we all age and it’s definitely not an easy thing for him to sing even his own songs like he did in the past The band sounds fantastic and yes the mix could be better
Sting is one of the most inventive bassist that I have admired over all these years and he's still sparkles❤❤
He doesn't get enough recognition as a Bass Guitarist Charles. He's a superb player.
He is the creator of laid-back bass playing
yes! and he is much more - he is a classic - a voice for the hopeful soul
I love it three pieces amplifiers❤ Sting Dominic perfect Drummer....❤❤❤
Agree Pure beautiful perfection
Great music 🎶 ❤Sting

Saw Sting so many times with or out the police he is my old pal since 79
All you need is three-piece heart desire and a lot of love and just do what you love to do and he for sure does❤❤❤
Since he is back to a three piece lets just reunite the police instead of him and 2 no names. Egos need to be set aside before one of them dies
@@mrjoelabs Andy Summers will be 82 in two months 😲
@@privatepenguin3137 which is why they need to do it sooner rather than later.

Sting 3.0 sont tous les trois super. Souvenirs de police 👍😃❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶🎶🎸
thank you very much !!
@@michaelgoncalves9412 you are welcome! glad you enjoyed :)
We love you Sting …but we need Andy and Stewart up there …just one more time 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Considering he's 73 now, he is in brilliant shape and still plays and sings superbly.
Sting in Brazil 2025. I'll be there!
🙏 toodleooop
this has to be one of the most anemic performances of Sting I've seen. But then, I would not expect Sting to be touring after 70 anyway
D Miller always smash

Age is just a number.
Sting is seemingly ageless. Very sadly, Phil Collins who's only a few months older than Sting, is far worse for the wear.
@@MWayne-zz1cr true, saw Phil last year and was shocked. not sure if I recorded anything.
I caught the 9/17 show in Detroit… good stuff! Was the opening act a pianist? Dude was intense..

Great audio cam mic ?
yup straight up iPhone recording.
@@digidigit Impressive...great job...and great seats. I saw James Taylor in this theater a few weeks ago. Perfect place to see and hear a show!

Thinking the same thing. Just the 3 of them sounds good on some songs but leaves too much empty space in others and falls a bit flat.

I thought the band was great, but the mix should have been louder, especially the drums
No frills tour ?
Pls...make an statement like that bassed in the sound of a cel Phone...

I have no idea why he continues to tour with that joke boring barely awake guitarist. Its really glaring.
He's a great guitarist..but yea I'd like to see sting do it with someone like Dave Navarro
