- What a huge video for us! We finally have a cage to start building floor panels off of! This video shows almost 5 days of work that's all done after hours or on weekends while we actually work for a living...
So far this backhalf is going way better than expected. This is our 3rd or 4th version and ironically it's also the simplest version yet. Despite the fact that we have the lift (otherwise i can't work on stuff because of health issues), and a couple fancy-er tools, this can all be done with basic hand tools and just a little bit of knowledge. When I was in welding school one of my teachers told us that women have less ego about welding so they take advice better and also tend to be more detail oriented. Brittany has definitely picked it up faster than anyone! If I actually taught her the right way to do stuff she could have her own show about fabrication. Doing this stuff together with your spouse is the best part!

This is the first real "garage" we've had. I did a solid axle swap in a gravel driveway once, it was the absolute worst... We're pretty thankful to still be able to work on junk right now!
@@WheelEveryWeekend I know the feeling I've lifted and lowered vehicles in small garages and driveways the last 25 years and it's tough peeling myself off the floor these days lol I need a garage and a lift!

Here in Germany you can forget making this kind of 4x4. You would never be alowed to drive them on road.

The roll ups would be neat, but won’t blown sand reck havoc on the tracks? I like the canopies the aussies use and like the fact the double as shade and a place to put lighting. That is one sweet rig!!

Yes and no. I could do a smog legal LS swap but the way we intend to do it is not legal... It'll be supercharged and with a standalone ecu. Our hunt for a 3rd gen has gone cold! All the decent ones with enough rear end damage to be interesting go for 20k+ and im just not willing to buy any salvage vehicle for that much. I saw a jeep gladiator that was totaled go for 35k on the auctions a few days ago, its insane! One thing we are still looking for is a 70s truck of some kind to put 58" tires under

Just barely under 100... The shop door faces the sun all day and is a tin can with no insulation, its the worst. At least its cheap though
