For this process we need both Inkjet for the color and Laser for the foil.
If foil a day or two later will it still work?
So the laser printer is needed for the foil to attach to the writing and NOT the design? Can you explain why you need to use 2 different printers..
The laser powdercreacts to the foil. If you do the whole card with a color laser printer the foil will adhere to everything. By using a inkjet first, the foil will not adhere to inkjet prints.

I have about 200 invitations to make. I want to print about a day or so in advance. If I foil a day or 2 later will it still work?
Pardon my ignorance, Why do you have to print the color design and the black and white letters separate? 🤔
The second print is a laser printer that uses a special ink, which is toner. Since the gold foil reacts to toner ink.

Because colours were printed on INKJET printed but text on LASER printer
Foil only reacts with toner (laser printer), the coloured section was printed using ink (inkjet printer). Thats why 2 separate printers were used.
i make the same but gold foil doesnt apply 100% on printing details, i set 180 degree celsius

For this project, we use both.A laser and inkjet printer.
Mine always come out the laminator with black patches from where the foil hasn’t stuck. Do you know why this is? I place the card and foil inside a folded A4 sheet of paper before running it though

I'm using this same method with a holofrapgic foil... but after like 24 hours I get little blotchy spots in the foil... what could be causing the blotchy spots to show up? When the foil is freshly done it looks perfectly but not long after little blotchy spots start to show through the holo foils? Please help

I have the same problem! Did you find a solution?
Make sure both of them are print in actual and center the pieces so you get the same gaps on both sides. However, different brands’ printers have different borders settings, which many don’t allow you to change it.
It is much more difficult when you have same situation with 2 side printed sheet. I do this on Konica minolta C6085. It's A3 format printing press for high quality and big volume professional printing.

Hi, try to use two sheets of paper instead of one and let her machine preheat to its highest setting. Hope it helps…

Can we still use inkjet for tge design printing and black printing?? We don't have laser printer?
You need a laserprinter for the black ink, otherwise it won't work
Any tips? I'm getting an imprint of the whole foil on my card (not just the lettering) 😞
Are you sure you got the right type of foil? Because if you’re using hot foil instead of reactive foil your problem happens.
