Okay so apparently I pissed off a few people 😂. Just for clarification for the people who got emotional in the comments I DO still enjoy the The Finals, I still believe it's a fun game to play. But unfortunately the game is seeing a net negative trend of losing players. Is is still a healthy game? Yes 100% but it is losing players and with season 5 just dropping some players will come back to check it out. All I was mentioning was its decline. I did say it "died" and that was a mistake and I should have corrected myself, but overall what I stated in this video is accurate even if you don't feel the same way. Facts are the facts here. I hope you guys still enjoy this game as I still enjoy it.
The finals monatisation is the most user friendly pro consumer micro transaction. No fomo, everything is always there (unless it's Christmas or Halloween). You can even get the battle pass for free if you grind it.
100% agree. And I play on console and the game is alive af in there. In no way is it dead and all the people that would rather go play a multi billion dollar studios game with 20000 crossovers every day can just be sad 😂
It's a clickbait youtube trash content video. Got recommended, because of some comments and the stuff I used to watch (the finals). The entire format, random gameplay and stupidly read crap, including "10 reasons" bs. Could be a VICE "article". Ignore/block that kiddo and move on.
@@nikolajovanovic2433give it a shot! You can definitely find a place in the community. It’s not great at bgetting new players but I think you’ll enjoy it
I have to disagree with almost every point you made. Monetization: It’s a freemium game, so microtransactions are expected, but the system is fair. All you need is to buy one battle pass, and it gives you enough in-game currency to get the next one. The cosmetics, both in the battle pass and outside of it, are super creative and worth it for those who enjoy customizing. Execution: The game has been fresh and stable, especially by Season 2. While release lacked modes and maps, those are being added at a steady rate. Every PvP game has balance issues at launch, and this one was no exception, but by Season 2, it’s in a much better place. The learning curve is steeper than something like Call of Duty, so a lot of the complaints come from people not adapting to its unique mechanics rather than real balance issues. Gameplay: The destruction and tools encourage intense, strategic gameplay while also looking incredibly awesome. By the end of Year 1, the game has added so much that it feels polished and exciting. Innovation: The Finals lives up to its promise of being a unique, innovative shooter. The real-time destruction, diverse tools, and focus on movement and verticality create dynamic, unpredictable battles that reward creativity, teamwork and strategy. Combined with the game’s vibrant aesthetic and dystopian game show setting, it’s an experience unlike any other competitive shooter on the market. The Finals is meeting its potential, and the consistent updates show that it’s only getting better. To why it’s not as popular, your other points made more sense
most people only tried season 1 and the game is underrated even with these issues its still great every youtuber is just hate farming this game except the ranked problems and tick rates theres nothing quite that wrong bugs can be fixed

@@tylergreer7799 I just discussed on why the game was in decline. I personally have no issue with the game and still enjoy it. I just broke down the main reasons why the game was in decline

Most people left the game because there was a massive cheater issue for the first 2 seasons. The MTX in the game is perfectly fine and doesn't try to force anyone to buy anything idk where you got that idea. It was cheaters and peoples PC's not being able to handle the game (and performance issues I wont lie) so they just went back to whatever they were playing before. Its hard to bring players back after they already had a bad impression of the game but I see more new players than old players every time I play these days. The game is also more popular on console than PC so the steam numbers don't mean much.
Another cod clone. As if 100 games exactly like this havent been already released over the past 2 decades. If you play this game you are a bot. Youre genuinely zombified in the head.
no need to watch this video in whole because the dude probably said the wrong stuff why it declined (just like most people being wrong about always why games decline), but ill tell you the key reason(s)... CHEATERS and LACK OF MAPS... they really needed to be a map designing dev company if they wanted to make this game good, u need a new map in a game like this, like once every 1-2 months... and well... cheaters plagued yet another game, as i watch multiple cheating popular streamers that played it and they didnt get banned just like the many of other players that played it... companies will soon realize allowing the cheaters to play even tho they provide viewer base to the games, just hurts them in the long run... they really needed different characters like overwatch or marvel rivals, and not this weirdo 3 size system... also their skins and stuff that you can buy was way overpriced
bro jsut a small feedbkack. altough your vid is 1440p the clips you use look like 480p Besides that i agree to you it is too sad to see such a wonderful game decline..... they need a creative mode like in fortnite. to let players create nice fun community maps
This is no hate to you, you have points, but after Helldivers 2 and now the finals, I'm getting real tired of every other video being how games are dying. Just enjoy the tides man.
The main problem with The Finals really is lack of depth. The game has a huge, no, a massively huge problem. All you do in this game is gunplay and move one item to an objective. Sure, you have environment destruction, but there aren't really cool mechanics there that utilize it really. It's a bit forced in every match and everybody hates all the rubble. Regardless if you defend or attack.
?? "all you do is gunplay and move to an objective"? I think you just described literally every single FPS game to have ever been made? The Finals does not lack depth, in fact the opposite. The game requires too much knowledge of systems, and so most new players try the game then quit immediately because they get hard stomped by other people who have much great knowledge Most FPS players want something mindless like CoD, just click and shoot, no planning of tactics or abilities. And The Finals requires a LOT of teamplay, another thing that most FPS players aren't good at. That's why the game doesn't appeal to the general FPS market
@xxephon No, Overwatch has special abilities that can be combo'ed. Apex has the armor mechanic, the abilities and movement. Also, whether it's an FPS or a TPP/TPS doesn't even matter much. An example would be Marvel Rivals, in which you have so many different team-up mechanics and combinations that it's sometimes way too complex at the beginning. Comparing The Finals to those games is a joke, because the gameplay loop for The Finals is identical every time. It's repetitive, lacks depth and because of that gets really, really boring after a while.
@ Someone who plays Marvel Rivals (a hero shooter) expects to learn a lot of different characters, abilities, and team composition combinations. So marvel rivals appeals to the hero shooter playerbase. Most FPS players do not expect to have to learn so many abilities, the average CoD player just wants to pick "the meta gun" and do that. The Finals also really heavily punishes a lack of teamplay (e.g. pushing alone, mistiming revives/respawns, not planning coins) which again, most FPS players are not interested in learning. There is a huge market for hero shooters with crazy complex team comps. There is not a huge market for FPS players who enjoy having to play so heavily as a team in a fast paced environment.
There is a lot of depth. Theres an insane amount of customization and team comps that influence play. Including comboing off eachother. The movement is insanely fun. Destruction also is a strategic element to the game

I haven't watched the video and won't. I'll simply say that all games start with high population and drop to a certain number, steam charts doesn't represent the whole player base. And even if it did, 18k players is still a LOT and a really good playerbase to stick with. They're updating the game regularly, giving fresh and fun updates, skins to accompany the mood of the season and listening to community's responses. I simply love the game.
