    Love this content, i grew up barefoot in the woods and now in my 55th year im still surrounded by woodland though its my landlords i have right to roam and enjoy.
    Id like my own woodland but life has been a winding path and ive only found peace in the last ten years but im still hungry so ill find a way yet .
    Just a little piece to tend for future generations to enjoy as i hope to 😊

    Loved your demonstration!?! When is the best time to clip stems? Asking because I always just use for table arrangements and they can be soft or hard. I always have more hard ones though…

    Amazing thanks, this is what I grew my willows for. I'm gonna give it a bash now, cheers. I've got a bit of metal grating with square holes so I can place the willow in that hopefully won't need the log and drilled holes, this will be a test if it works I'll get a nice set up .

      @@theviewfromtheclouds thanks, I now have a big pile of bendy long sticks and a slightly neater garden. Will have to make a sturdier base though like your log. Much love for what you are doing, and for you of course.

      @@theviewfromtheclouds it worked pretty good, came out like a long wonky cornocopia, I put a bunch of lavender in and hung it on the wall, it's nice, thanks lol.

      Hi, thanks for that. We have lots of different colours of willow, and we will be doing some more weaving!

    Great little basket. The basket could be used for growing some orchids and other epiphytes eg Christmas and Easter cactus, providing it doesn’t rot too quickly. I’ll have to make some. Thanks

    Really glad to have found your channel a few months ago. I’ve subscribed and I’m learning loads from you. Just wondering how high you had to do your deer fencing, and how effective it has been? We are struggling in West Yorkshire because they’ve eaten most of our apple trees and a lot of the Willow whips we have planted. 👍🏻

      Thank you for that! Sorry to hear that your trees are being eaten by deer. Our fence is about 1.8 meters tall because there are red deer not too far away and they can jump fairly high. If you have any other type of deer, 1.5 meters will be fine. Do you have much land to fence in?

    Lovely theyre very pretty. How long willow do we need for a square that size?

    • @theviewfromtheclouds
      @theviewfromtheclouds  3 місяці тому

      Thank you for that. They were about 5 feet long I believe. Happy weaving!

      Hi mine were about 5 foot but I only made it to half way to the middle before running out of willow...aaargh.
      Just pondering if I could add in more rods to finish it !!
      I used a 6 inch square.
