@@coope42 and yet this guy should have still learned how to land at a helipad than in an active combat zone first. He wasnt under pressure for a few of those landings and still took his rotors out that could have been avoided if he did 10 prqctice landings before joining the server. If you've done a bit in practice and then make mistakes in-game due to combat pressure, thats different, but this is just a guy flying for the first time basically :p

After moving from heli training to a real match and having my bird massacred at LZ, we have all truly been where this pilot has been. Never had sweatier palms than having to land a squad hot, props to that pilot for not giving up and picking up the stick again and again (and to the other SL's for letting him do his thing).
the two times ive crashed, i got yelled at, and the second time after hours of practice I got told I'm an idiot and that I shouldn't take the next helo even tho it was a rough landing on a mountain and then later got shot down like 5 mins after that. love moi being happy for his failing but trying. i practice and still fail and get harassed. clearly this pilot needs more practice but moi just cheers him on
Suggestion: Do a video like this but follow a squad in a third person angle until they die or end of the battle. I love seeing all the soldier animations up somewhat close from third person. I enjoy these bird's eye view vids as well, but a more intimate, close feel to a video could be a different format. The escalation server might be cool for this with all the dope special operations gear on the character models.
@@OFFCODEV2 well, since he has to narrate what is happening it does help him to look at the map every now and then, i do that while playing squad too and it's good for situational awareness. Even from a bird's eye view the map is still too big to be able to do continuous cinematic shots of the firefights. Anyways I'm just pointing that out, and i do agree I'd love to see if he can perfect this sort of videos. Less map in your face sounds good
@@OFFCODEV2 Agree! The spectator (me) wants to watch the individual skirmishes between SQUADS not an Admin critiquing how he would do it or constantly watching the battle through the map view. 35:40 Yes moi, all pilots have been there....ON THE TRAINING SERVER!! You don't "learn" in a live match! How many tickets did Codfish cost the team already at this point? 40? 37:27 was the most stressful part of this video! I thought for SURE he was going to go too low and clip his rotors on the building again! :P
@@micaheiber1419 The issue with your view is that their may be a firing range, but it isn't close to a live environment. Helicopters can boot up Jensens, change to any map in console and fly around. A pilot can truly practice "offline"
@@aussieskull1912 Exactly!! Piloting is something that CAN be practiced offline, unlike learning how to be infantry. I actually have a video on my channel to show pilots how to change maps at will and practice on any map and learn which spots you can and can't fit with a heli :) You get it!!
Even beyond how entertaining this series is, I find it helps me get better at the game. Watching tactics from above helps me understand the commands I'm given in-game, so I can carry them out better, and even give them myself sometimes. Realizing the shape of the cap zones helps a lot too
All I have to say is. More of these videos! They are so fun to watch. I love seeing the game play out from a birds view. Been binge watching all of these videos of yours. Love when you get right into some crazy infantry fights
Atleast he can say he's never been shot down! Bahaha Looks like somebody hasn't flow at the range before combat, definitely earned some shit talking. Was great watching him get better through the match I was rooting hard for that roof radio drop!
You do a fantastic job of doing this. Was in down low with the troops when needed up close, and holding steady for the meta moves. Very good camera work.
Coming something serious like banning someone hiding in the walls abusing glitches, then turning behind you and seeing the chopper pilot sitting in the streets rotorless next to his old burnt out husk, is the pinnacle of comedy.
This looks like a lot of fun. Seeing a server where no one was giving that pilot a bunch of sh*t for learning-via-failure was nice. I've looked and looked at this game but it always looked like too much to get into so I've continued to put it off. Seeing this, I think I'll give it a real try. If nothing else the look and feel of the weapons and vehicles looks to be top-notch and enjoyable in their own right.
What's up moi i've seen a lot of your videos in the past few days mostly your eyes in the skies series, honestly you make these milsim servers look so goddamn good, would love to have these sorts of servers to play on myself but struggle finding them, keep up the amazing work you do in general :)
Holy Smokes I'm Street Cat :3, I didn't even know this was being recorded. That's so awesome! I was sweating it hard digging down that HAB all by my lonesome.
Dude that pilot was like what ever happens imma respawn and imma comeback with my heli and repair it and resupply for my team 😡 that dude 😂👌🏻🤣 love it love it love it 😂👌🏻 SUBSCRIBED 🤗❤️
The helicopter was killing me 😂. I'm not judging. Everyone has to learn, but it was funny. He made progress in 1 match. I just got into watching this series and love it.
Honestly I am more surprised that codfish wasn't pulled off or booted for being just such a fantastic helicopter crash dummy & showing such skill in providing medical & repair training to himself & others.

Some beautiful character building with that pilot
Big shout out to moidawg for choosing to be supportive of that noob pilot.big respect, man. It's just a game, let the kid learn to fly
There is a training mode where you can learn to do that.

I was more invested in that pilot’s character development than any other media for the last 2 years
If only we got more fanservice :(
Eye in the sky is very entertaining. Nice to be able to see everything play out over the entire map.
Like watching your videos but enough with the map all the time
Cod: survives 2 rpg's and flies away safely
Cod immediately after: casually flies directly into the ground
Absolutely loving your eye in the sky series! ❤️
Open field: exists
Codfish so anyway, I started landing next to the trees/buildings.

This series is great, and I had to be careful because I was laughing very loud late at night in my apartment at the helicopter fails.
