ATL: Summer Storms Scramble Flight Operations at the World's Busiest Airport

Severe thunderstorms are common in the southeast this time of year. They allow for an abundance of excitement on otherwise sweat-filled boring days & provide spotters at other airports across the region an opportunity to enjoy our diversions. When Atlanta's air traffic is forced to scramble they often end up in places like Columbia, Greenville, Nashville, Memphis, Charlotte & Birmingham. Sunday the 6th of August bore witness to more than 60 of these diversions. But some flights continued inbound, eager to make harrowing landing attempts which we were fortunate enough to observe. But that's not all! A Freaky Friday & Saturday Sunrise are also included in this episode. Please provide me with your undivided attention for the next twenty nine minutes and forty one seconds. It is in your best interest!
Storms over airports are always dramatic.

I flew into Atlanta on a KLM 777-300ER on August 7 after a month in Europe. Only one day off 😭 But still another great video! And when that A350 took off wow what a sight!

@@aviationandmemes1627 Atlanta will be getting some new destinations in the next few months. On September 6, WestJet will start nonstop service to Winnipeg. On October 29, LATAM Peru will start it’s inaugural service to Atlanta. Hopefully this is a sign that more airlines start service to the ATL in the near future.

Speaking of storms in Atlanta... I watched on flightradar24 Flight ENY3396 from Chicago diverting from Atlanta to Augusta. It circled northeast of Charlotte several times and between Wrens and Harlem eventually landed in Augusta.
You should get the Sony Handycam FDR-AX53 4K camcorder because audio will sound much better than your current Nikon Coolpix P1000 just like using your HDR-CX455 from 2019. The AX53 has Balanced Optical SteadyShot and you don't have to worry about using your tripod whenever you get that camera. When you shake the AX53, the lens moves and keeps the image more stable. My camcorder is a Sony Handycam HDR-CX405.

I was at Outback Steakhouse in Kennesaw when this storm hit and it was so bad especially when the second wave hit the roads turned into rivers and the lighting was insane
