@@timberwolfe338 I think I've realized one of the differences, for me at least. Pretty sure Lydia is singing in a slightly lower key here, and it's the range where the nuances in her voice that I really love come through. I'm liking the more pop-oriented tracks on the new album, but I find that when she sings in a higher register -- which she can do very well, mind you -- some of that nuance isn't quite as obvious to me. This is her singing the song in what I think of as her "Lydia voice." (Also, their live performances are getting very sharp! The mark of great musicians, IMO, is that their studio work is great but their live versions are even better.)
