on the shifter feel, check what fluid is in the gearbox.
royal purple synchromax improves the smoothness compared to the bmw oe fluid .
some ppl also say redline d4 atf does a good job as well.
(d4 is a good replacement for the atf that the steering system uses)
i am sure the shifter bushings are worn as well as you mentioned
Good feedback! I've seem good results with the royal puple, but I haven't seen the D4 ATF used.

These always looked cool to me. I was really close to getting a black one with a white interior many years back. This and the E92 are my fav Bimmers.

That's a valid point. Porsche does stock seating positions much better than BMW at least for my body shape.

I remember watching vin build this on hoonigan and I was so sad when he sold it. Glad to see you’re giving it new life! I can’t decide if I want velocity stacks with filters or the carbon box on mine. Right now I have the carbon eventuri intake.
It will be getting even more parts thrown at it in the near future! Hard choice, but the evolve box is pretty epic!
330/ZHP 13:1 rack is not only quick but has much more weight to it than the standard M3 15:1. Something I'd do if I had the M3

whats your plan to make the suspension more compliant? Im running Ohlins R&T as they come out of the box and they are pretty good overall, but the car does pogo a bit more than I'd like
Is there a way to get this style wheels to be more flush in the rear without using spacers?

@@apexwheels Not that bad! I guess it's bound to happen once a car is a dedicated track car. It shouldn't take you much to get back 100% 🫡

I’m guessing you considered Auto Solutions SSK? I had the 20% reduction and loved it. But I can see how the suggested 0% when I talked to them “might’ve” been a better choice for mainly street use.
I have the 20% for 8 plus years with the it no issues maybe less than time but it’s been for a long time

Nice. My daily is an M3 Laguna Seca Blue. They are tough if taken care off.
sometimes all you need is some shifter linkage TLC!
Could be something minor for sure. TBH I'm not sure he's changed the transmission fluid since getting the car 😅

I know he's been to Sonoma at least so far. The other tracks we frequent are Thunder Hill and Laguna Seca.

What was the spec of the arc 8s you took off?

E46 m3 is a legend car doesn't suit white though
There are many blues that work better
I've got a Carbon Black on Cinnamon. Interlagos Blue would be my favorite though with the same interior. What's your favorite shade if we're including individual options?

Dead on center probably have to change steering coupler
It's been replaced recently! It's just slightly dead on center and I've gotten that feedback from other E46 M3 owners as well.
FYI kids: There is no such thing as a “Clubsport” E46 M3. Also, this car doesn’t rev to 8200rpm’s stock. It’s stock redline is 7900rpm’s (internet is wrong in many forms lol). You need to tune it to get to a 8200rpm redline, and even at that, not all tunes give it a 8200rpm redline.
Proper information should be used when making videos like this please. Thank you.

True there is no Clubsport E46 M3.
At 5:52 in the vid, it does say 8,200 rpm with tune.
And max rpm/redline is actually 8k. Max hp is at 7,900 rpm.
This April 2024 will mark the 23rd year of ownership for myself. 😁. Original owner.
