Parents: get healthy and start sleeping earlier, you need your rest Rowe: no Rowe after seeing mbld and getting decent: I sleep more for more points I’ll watch the entire commentary later but thank you for making mbld content.
optimizing this hour long event to the point where you’re so short on time that a few recall pauses make you reach the hour limit is crazy. in my 26/28 last week I paused for 40 seconds to deduce a letter pair (remembered all of memo except for one word) and for you that would just kill the attempt. Good luck on 70s, I love naming the title “part 1” as we all know there will be more parts P.S I listened to the entire commentary while making dinner, so as to your comment near the end: at least one person watched it all the way through :D
The fact people used to think 20 cubes was good before Maskow did MBLD goes to show how far from the limits we were. 70 cubes is so so much and it seems that adding a couple cubes at this level doesn't actually mean getting that much fast with 1/70th and 1/72nd not being all that different in value but the better you are the harder to shave off time.
Really just for speed, and it’s easier to do when I’m tired for some reason. The lack of gap between the reviews leads to a faster last pass for each cube normally. The memo holds up well enough for a few minutes each pack when doing it this way, so executing them in order usually works out pretty well. I can also afford to go even faster and less safe on the second 10 if I need to since they sit for less time. This is just temporary though, I’m reaching my limit with this way I think. The plan moving forward eventually is to do 31-50 faster, do the second way you mentioned for 51-70, then solve all those in order as a massive 40cube midterm and 2pass whatever is left. I’ll probably start doing that for mid70s eventually, I’ve already experimented with it and it works pretty well.
Idk, it’s really easy to improve algs and fingertricks, but past a certain point it doesn’t help much. Seems like every other aspect of improving exec relies heavily on memo quality, so it’s a lot more complicated than people think. The biggest time killer in exec is pausing due to recall issues, which can only really be prevented with stronger memo. To float efficiently and save time in exec that way, you have to significantly change how you memo, which is extremely difficult to implement at this speed.

Even attempting 70 in comp is insane and probably very nerve-racking, you'll only get more accurate with practice, good luck Rowe.
Exciting work, excited for 70 cube attempts in 2025!!
Insane The Multi BLD solve at in the world!! And cool video!!!🤯😵💫
I feel soooo hyped :D ! Nothing can stop him

Thank you so much for making this. I feel like it’s stuff like this that’s really gonna help demystify multi for people who are too scared to try it.

So heartwarming to see your efforts to push 70+, ❤❤❤❤
Man it's gonna be a long year
What is your main 3x3 cube? (for normal solves not for blind)
Is there a spesific reason you do MRR 51-60, MRR 61-70 instead of MR 51-61, MR 61-70, R 51-70?

Do you feel like execution speed, is the easiest way to improve in MBLD?

@@rowehess Ah that makes a lot of sense helps me clear it up!
Do you use dlin tracing
No, I also still don’t float in mbld
