The revolvers found in the glass case were probably disabled, and he had to assemble parts from one and another to get them to function. A man who knows his trade very well.

Of course that man looks familiar, thats Ser Bronn of the Black Water. Lord of Highgarden, Lord paramount of the Reach, Warden of the South. And Master of coin.

Mark Dacascos, who played Wick's rival Zero and went fanboi on the couch, was known for martial arts movies and to another audience as "The Chairman" on the American version of the cooking competition show, "The Iron Chef" with Alton Brown as the host & narrator.

What was impressive also, is that in this one with all the glass, and previously with the mirrors, I couldn't catch even one small glimpse of a camera or crew member at all. Not easy to accomplish. Love your insights and reactions Chrissie.

I’m not being ugly towards you in saying this, BUT you have not seen good “sets” yet. Wait until you see 4. I enjoy your reactions to this series. I am anxiously awaiting 5. I do agree with you about # 1 setting the standard for this series, but they all are quite powerful in their own ways. The writers / director have truly found ways to integrate the viewer into the emotions of the films. The idea of the last 3 way fight, the two discussing John Wick and getting to fight him….. helping him up once and allowing him to get up the 2nd time … John Wick is legendary in those circles ( assassins world wide ) that they were honored to fight him. Also, at the end of their fight, he allowed them to live. He repaid them…. There is honor between most good assassins. And yes, 1,2 and 3 all took place over the course of around 1 1/2 weeks. And finally, recall in 2 that John and Vigo’s brother pledged Peace…. So he is not returning thus far, because he was allowed to live. Great reaction.

30:25 The two actors in this scene with the knives are also in a couple of foreign martial arts movies called "The Raid: Redemption" and "The Raid 2." I highly recommend both.

In chapter 2 you asked about blood and CGI. You didn't ask here but the shattering glass was all CGI as it made it easier to do reshoots without having to deal with cleaning up broken glass and resetting the scenes. A scene could be shot several times in succession and then the shattering glass all added later.

    1) I loved The Seventh Seal. Amazing film.
    2) Mark Dacascos was an action star, mainly in the 90s and 2000s, but like at a B-movie level/direct to video most of the time. I do like the live-action Crying Freeman, based on the manga, he starred in.
    3) The phrase is indeed Latin.
    4) The actor you recognized, who shot Halle Berry's dog was Jerome Flynn...Bron from Game of Thrones.
    5) Ernest, the assassin in the library, is NBA player Boban Marjanović of the Houston Rockets. He is Serbian and 7'4" tall.
    6) There are talks of a John Wick 5, and there is a series on Peacock (?) called The Continental, that is a prequel telling the story of a young Winston in the 1970s. It also has Mel Gibson.
    7) Chad Stehelski, the director, is currently prepping a remake of Highlander starring Henry Cavill.
Keep up the great videos, Chrissie!!!

7'4"?! Wow. Part of me thought it was CGI!
Once I'm done the movies I am 100% checking out the series because that sounds so interesting!! Have you seen it?
I never saw Highlander but maybe I should in preparation of the remake...

John didn't cut the guy's fingers with the sword. He sliced the ligaments in his wrists, basically making his hand useless. It's a technique used in kenjutsu (Japanese sword fighting). You go for the inner elbow, shoulder or wrist because they weren't historically well protected by armor and would make the limb dead weight.
