Indus Water Treaty: What is Indus Water Treaty? When was the Indus Water Treaty signed and what are the disputes between India and Pakistan regarding it? The Indus Water Treaty was signed between India and Pakistan on 19 September 1960. The Indus Water Agreement file was signed between India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Pakistan's first military ruler General Ayub Khan in Karachi, Pakistan.
What is Indus Water Treaty? In the Indus Water Treaty, a decision was taken regarding sharing of water of 6 rivers - Indus, Chenab, Jhelum, Beas, Ravi and Sutlej, going from the part of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan. Apart from India and Pakistan, officials of the World Bank, which played an important role in implementing the treaty, were also present on this very special occasion.
However, now this indus water treaty seems to be in danger. India is demanding amendment in this. The way Pakistan has objected to Kishanganga Hydro Electric Project and Ratle Project, it is clear that Pakistan's intentions have always been bad for India. सिंधु जल संधि क्या है? सिंधु जल संधि कब हुई थी और भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच इसे लेकर क्या विवाद होते रहे हैं? कश्मीर में भारत की पनबिजली परियोजनाओं पर क्यों आपत्ति जताता रहता है पाकिस्तान? इस वीडियो में इसी मुद्दे की बात हम करेंगे। सिंधु जल संधि भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच 19 सितंबर 1960 में हुए थे। पाकिस्तान के कराची में भारत के पहले प्रधानमंत्री जवाहरलाल नेहरू और पाकिस्तान के पहले सैन्य शासक जनरल अयूब खान के बीच सिंधु जल समझौते की फाइल पर हस्ताक्षर हुए थे।
सिंधु जल समझौता क्या है? इंडस वाटर ट्रिटी में जम्मू-कश्मीर के हिस्से से पाकिस्तान की ओर जाने वाली 6 नदियों- इंडस यानी सिंधु, चिनाब, झेलम, ब्यास, रावी और सतलज के पानी के बंटवारे को लेकर फैसला किया गया था। इस बेहद खास मौके पर भारत और पाकिस्तान के अलावा ट्रीटी को अमलीजामा पहनाने में अहम भूमिका निभाने वाली वर्ल्ड बैंक के अधिकारी भी मौजूद थे।
हालांकि अब ये ट्रिटी खतरे में नजर आ रही है। भारत इसमें संशोधन की मांग कर रहा है। पाकिस्तान ने जिस तरह किशनगंगा हाइड्रो इलेक्ट्रिक प्रोजेक्ट और रतले प्रोजेक्ट पर आपत्ति जताई है, उससे साफ है कि पाकिस्तान की नीयत भारत के लिए हमेशा बुरी रही है। पहले भी कई प्रोजेक्ट्स पर पाकिस्तान आपत्ति जताता रहा है। पूरी कहानी विस्तार से इस वीडियो में देखिए।

This treaty should be scrapped immidiately .North India is suffering from water scarcity and Pakistan is enjoying due to criminal treaty of Nehru & liyaqat.India is feeding water to napak and it in turn is bleeding India.
