Great video! To the right of the lock button there's a reload button that is super handy to re-generate all enabled phases. Love this 2.8 update. Now you can really customise and save your show, without losing all the work for the next venue or when you add a fixture to your show.
Brian, thank you for sharing your knowledge. Let's say I add 2 new lights to the dmx page and have them set as primary washers. Will these new fixtures flash to the main color line and intensity? Or do I have to rescan? I'm taking my laptop with me to play out of state and venue will be using wash fixtures I don't have. Thanks.
Very good video (as always) thanks! I‘m facing an issue with soundswitch, autoloops are only working on/for one deck. Do you have an idea? The SS Wiki didn‘t help…
I always found SS bases it's beats on the snare and not the bass drum. Been a long time since I used it as I gave up based on that alone. Probably sounding like a dinosaur here but that was my biggest problem with it from day one. Global offset in ms would have helped.
When I autoscript a song it always use the same 2 attribute cues so it makes some of my lights feel very repetitive unless I go advanced and tweak this manually to pick other attribute cues, which kinda makes the whole 'autoscripting' process pointless. Is there a proper way to change this?
I saw on your video that you are using platinum notes 4 to remove clips from mp3 or wav files ... Today I download a mp3 track and turn it as a wav file after I remove the clips from the track on platinum notes 4 software... when I used serato software everything was nice showing the beatgrid and playing smooth and good sound but when I want to make a light show on soundswitch the track I convert from mp3 to wav not showing beatgrid on soundswitch ... do you know why soundswitch not recognized the beatgrid even serato is showing the beatgrid and have correct beatgrid? hope to get answer thank you
Serato stores the beatgrids in the ID3 tags of MP3, FLAC, ALAC, etc. files. There is no standard way of storing tags in WAV files. So, my guess is that Serato stores beatgrids for WAV files in its database instead of inside the WAV files, and that SoundSwitch therefore does not see the beatgrids. Just guessing, though.. ❤ Instead of converting to WAV you could convert to FLAC, and SoundSwitch will see the Serato tags.

Brian, Ty for these videos. Your a life saver.
great video Brian. SS making these small improvements that are massive time savers when scripting. Bravo
Totally agree!

Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
They are on the right track. Pixel scripting still has to improve a lot, also copy-pasting is (mostly) not working. But overall I enjoy the results.
On Automation it gives me a message.. “beat grid must be set first.” I have the song selected.
I just purchased SS. So i believe i have 2.8.
Do you have a video for beginners?
Hello bryant, i am new SS, and i am lost!! Can we schedule a videocall so you can help me??
When all my files get autoscripted, I go to save as and then all the files get deleted. Can someone please help on the export/save after autoscript
Very good video (as always) thanks!

which program are you using ? are you talking about the dj software when you wrote one deck?
@@djkayaoslokaya7137 Serato DJ Pro with a Pioneer DDJ-SR, yes it’s not working

does SS have a tab app to trigger shows or chance color fixture movement...
Until the SS team introduce fixture limits for movers, then it's only really useable for wash fixtures.

do you also have problems, when auto scripting multiple songs at once the position cues don't appear in the tracks
Honestly I never script multiple songs at once because I think it leads to repetitive and boring shows

It should not take years to fix nuances in a software. Doesnt speak well about the company that owns/develops the software
'Promo SM' 😏
