To quote the wiki: „The Strv 122B carries on all the good armour from the previous 122A model, but gains a 20 mm steel plate on the LFP and underbelly, as well as having a remodelled hull ammunition rack. The plate helps stop ricocheting shells, and can be a layer of defence against explosive and chemical penetration rounds. The new hull ammunition rack is wider but has an overall lower height - meaning that shells entering the LFP and passing through the bottom of the tank's interior may now pass under the shells without hitting the racks.“

There are 5 more rounds in the front ammo rack on the STRV 122A, which means the Bs hull rack sits slightly higher and is harder to hit!

@@WThunder231 not gonna lie to you, chief, I'm not extremely optimistic about the 2A7 but it's gonna be coming some time in 2024 so we will see how good it is by then, maybe Germany will finally get something that doesn't die extremely easily.
Gaijin promised to add another Leopard with better frontal protection to Germany this year.
@@SentinelPL hope they are generous enough to give us an improved Leopard 2 cus after that Germany will not get a new mbt for probably quite some time so it needs to be better than its predecessors.

Abrams are deceptively quiet in real life. I used to work on them back when the Marine Corps still had tanks and i couldnt hear 4 of them running on the other side of a building. First thing i heard and felt were the tracks.

Which company did you mainly work with? I may have seen you if you were there from early '17 to late '19, but yeah them bad boys were quite as hell. I'd say our 7 tons and Trams are louder but that doesn't make any sense to gaijin apparently.

The strv122’s are just brutally proficient at top tier. Amazing armor, mobility and with the new round it gets, it’s absolutely brutal. The swedish lineup is getting more and more viable, and apart from the cas, probably the best in the game, maybe just lacking behind the ussr
I feel like Sweden has always been a “viable” nation, it’s just for the LONGESSSST time the repair cost for this nation was ridiculous. It was the only nation in the game in which you can still lose SL or break even with a few kills and Premium 😂 but that has long been addressed.
I could not be more happy seeing that leopard at 16:14 rocking the red biathlon camo. I've straight up only ran into one other person using that camo since the event.

Yea I believe the 122B has a wider 2nd stage ammunition rack, so when it’s slightly tilted down it’s practically impossible to hit with a single row of rounds, without missing the extra armour. From my experience I prefer it over the 122As 2nd stage, but it’s just really a preference, there’s pros and cons to each
Strv 122a stock grind has probably been the best experience with stock ive had in the game, first game with it and I almost got a nuke.

This is why I love Sweden, they have some of the best vehicles in the game, I consider the strv 122s to be both the best mbts in the game and my favorite, even though I don't play top tier anymore

Sweden's getting the Pbv 501 this update, (At least for right now, they might get more in future dev servers.) it's just a BMP-1 without the missile launcher.
not just the missile launcher, but the IRL Pbv-501 also removed the autoloader and PG-9 round, because they - as well as the ATGM - were considered unsafe. Which I find laughably ironic. Not only that, but they had to replace some metal plates inside the vehicle with rubber ones to not hurt the crew as the vehicle drove around and shook.
I hope they at least model the performance changes of this in-game, especially the lack of an autoloader as well as the non-use of the PG-9. That would at least make it less of a copy-paste.

its basically an up armored 122 with composite screens covering the sides kind of like the PSO, and the breech area is also up armored it would be the mous of top tier
Except if we play the same the version of War Thunder, gaijin wouldn’t allow that 😂 there’s a lot of tanks in game that should have excellent armor protection, but don’t. Unless it’s Russian it won’t be accurately modeled.

This one is pretty much better than the 122B. It doesn’t have that ridiculous Wall-E which really does nothing but give you away behind cover.

@@duncancruickshank5377 Turret shaking is a common tactic, used to help botch the enemy's aim when they're trying to go for your breech or barrel and other weakspots found on some vehicles regarding their turrets. At high to top tier, that's sort of the meta since everyone can pen everyone, just not everywhere. Breeches on high-top tier tanks have little to no armor, and a tank with a destroyed breech/barrel is usually easy pickings.

China is a bit easier once you hit the 7.0 area. Sweden has been pretty smooth at most BRs, but lacks decent CAS till around mid/late tiers. Both are fun tho.

@rawrthraider6329 give China shot, they get a little of everything for tanks. And their premium stuff is pretty nasty. Sweden gets some fun rail gun tanks here and there, the premium side is a little limited but still good.
Just finished grinding every single German tank myself and decided that I should grind Sweden cause I got the 2a6 when the strv 122a and b were added oh the pain, but China is a good nation too if you want a break from NATO vehicles

@@Asgar1205 I doubt the Italians will get theirs first since we haven't even seen the Centauro 2 yet. Albeit its just a brand new turret with more gun depression a faster firing Main gun better overall performance but nope heres some Spike missiles for another vehicle.

No. Has the same thermals as the 2A5 and 2A6: 1st gen gunner, 2nd gen commander. The Strv 122B gets 3rd gen for the commander.

The 122B has mine protection for the undercarriage, which functionally just adds more weight except in very limited scenarios where chemical rounds hit the lower hull if your tank is going over bump or something

if you think any of the strv leos are superior to the PSO, you aren't playing the PSO right. people are on a struggle bus to fight the PSO because of the additional armor it gets. but leos are already a strong tank, if you aren't an idiot and have a brain cell. it can be the king of the battlefield in this game. but the PSO is by far the superior leo, it bounces shots more than the other leos. the only thing the strv leos have on the PSO is it has composite armor on the headlights. but Gajin didn't add that to the PSO because in real life it has that composite plates by the headlights like the strv leos do. But i do hope you are just saying it because you want people to grind the Sweeden tank line and be amped for getting it. because like i said anything A5 and above are very strong leos.

I play Strv122 and I’m usually faster than leapord 2a6’s 😂 and that 40mm more armor pen isn’t a game changer, I’ll take better survivability all day

@@number7red619 you have dyslexia buddy. He's not saying 40mm amor. He's saying that he would trade a round with a 40mm more pen for a hull that has an additional 200+mm amor and massively improved his survivability all day.
@@number7red619You misread the first reply: he was referring to the less pen on the Strv 122's top round which is m/95 sabot. It doesn't even really matter when all you really need is good aim at top tier, which everyone already knows and is second nature. For all its worth, it can still UFP all other Leopard 2s and the round is still top tier worthy. And if Sweden players actually need 600mm of pen, they can just use the CV90120 which is a mean piece of work in itself as a light tank.
The Strv 122s are simply beloved because they cannot be UFP'd by any dart in the game unless you aim for the driver's port. They're just that good. In a split second while in the fast-paced combat of top tier, Strv 122s are generally thought to be regular German/Finnish Leopard 2s that can easily be UFP'd, which is something the Strv 122s take huge advantage of as they can actually tank a poorly aimed shot and return fire. And did I mention they get stock sabot?
Mobility isn't even that much of a downgrade from the German/Finnish Leopard 2s. 24 hp/ton is still very good, and still close to the 2A6's 25 hp/ton ratio. Not even a tradeoff when you're literally the most armored NATO/BLUFOR top tier tank and can still zoom around.

The pso is better protected on sides and ufp, but strv is better on lfp
Sorry, but no. The Leo 2 PSO can still be UFP'd as normal by everything it faces compared to the Strv 122s. The side armor's something, mainly against autocannons but not much else

Yeah oddbawz and all them don't want to be bothered with the people who support them they would rather hide and I get it to a degree but I also do not get it. The fans and the subs are the people who pay the bills for them and that's why you have my deepest respect even with all your subs and advertisers you still maintain a grounded posistion towards the players and identify yourself
My issue with the 122s is literally the German players. They dont realize no matter what they wont have the best Leo, Sweden can get the B+ or the D which further improves armor and sights and electronics etc, not to mention Sweden is developing the Strv123 which furthers the advancments by adding the L/55

This is very good, but tbh I think Germany is better overall...

How? Sweden has a better light tank, better IFV, better MBT (and more of them too).
And better AA too (cause the ItO has stock VT-1 missile while the FlaRakRad's is a rank 4 mod. And it can launch all 8 at once, unlike the FlaRakRad which can only 2 at the time. Oh and the ItO has a smaller profile compared to the FlaRakRad too cause why not)
The only thing they are actually bad at is CAS (and top tier planes in general). But the same for Germany too.
But the best advantage Sweden has is they are only played by highly experienced players. While Germany is still full of dumb 10 year old/ edgy kids who still think that the Tiger is the best tank in the world (which they will die like 2 mins into the match and instantly leave the game, abandoning the team)
