It was great news back in 2021. Now, it's kid of old. At 0:12 you can see the articles date 2021. I hope the'll incorporate this technology in upcoming sensors
Yeah, it was exciting back in 2021, but it feels a bit outdated now. Hopefully, they'll integrate that tech into future sensors for some real improvements.
It sounds like you're very excited about a new piece of photography gear! Your statement expresses enthusiasm about how it will enhance your moon photography and astrophotography, especially when paired with full-frame (FX) telephoto lenses. You're eager to get it as soon as possible to explore its potential. If you'd like, I can help rephrase or refine your message for different contexts.
It would be interesting if Nikon brought back a version of the Nikon 1 series! Those lenses were great for a 1-inch sensor, so a revival could be a game changer.
You're right, 1-inch sensors have been around for a while, but there's always some compromise when it comes to image quality compared to larger sensors.
@@TechTraveller01 Agreed! Our new Nikon Z8 is arriving today and we cannot wait to start exploring its capabilities! Hopefully the file sizes are manageable!
@@evanlinn5869 That’s exciting! The Z8 should be a fantastic camera to work with. Hopefully, the file sizes won’t be too overwhelming!Enjoy exploring all the Z8 has to offer!
Gotta love misleadingly marketing. Constantly showing full frame Nikon gear all the while pushing a 1 inch sensor. Did someone fail to tell Nikon they dropped their V line of cameras that used 1 inch sensor with interchangeable lenses. Lol the z92 is not going to be using a 1 inch sensor. I do like that they at least not going for just more mp bs though. I think the newer tech such as this will be going to smaller sensors first which is a good thing to get everyone off the mp race and onto tech that really matters.
You make a valid point! The marketing can be a bit misleading, especially when promoting 1-inch sensors alongside full-frame gear. It's refreshing to see a focus on innovation rather than just chasing higher megapixels.
Very Impressive camera but I can't afford this unit ill stick in what i have which is Nikon D610 because it is not the camera that make a good photo it's post processing
@@bernardlanguillier7970 True, this sensor has been around for a while, and its announcement predates the Red acquisition. It's interesting to see how things have evolved since then.

Crazy work. The moment nikon stopped their partnership with Sony sensors they've been pushing the boundaries.
I think That was good decision
Is it that Nikon stopped her partnership with Sony Sensors, or is it just a guess from you?
@@RShirfor sure a guess.
Nikon designs their sensors and has a few different places make them . Sony is one of them .
@@smallbatchsessions6892They both design their sensors and get sensors elsewhere depending which is better.
Nikon has NOT stopped their partnership with Sony semi-conductor

I want it yesterday! It will work wonders for moon photography and astrophotography when coupled with the FX telephotos!!! I want it asap!!!

@@TechTraveller01 Do so, with my blessings! We must build support for this project!
Nikon have the matching lenses for a 1-inch sensor (Nikon 1 range) perhaps a version of the Nikon 1 may rise again?

I love Nikon honestly
Nikon makes amazing gear.
Nikon announced this long time ago.... nothing new here....
Those sensors have existed for long time. But there is always a trade off in image quality.

So few people would use it. It has to be industrial.
Exactly, very few people would need that much storage. It’s more suited for industrial or specialized use.
The image files are so large you need a backpack and a battery to access an external 50TB external hard drive. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah, the file sizes are massive! You practically need a portable setup with a 50TB external drive just to manage all that data.

This isn't Nikon marketing, it is how this video was put together

Absolutely, the D610 is a solid camera! It’s true that great photos often come down to skill in post-processing rather than just the gear.
Nice but i'll get excited when a full frame version comes out .. 🦘

They bought Red and now using their teck I guess
This sensor is old news and was announced a few years ago, before the acquisition of Red was announced (and most probably before it was decided)
