So by now we’ve discussed how My Hero Academia is in its final few chapters with it probably having less than 9 chapters left to go, and one thing that the ending gave us besides a bunch of feels, is this new haircut for Deku. Now to be fair it sort of looks like my haircut if it was cut on both sides, but while I admit that the one side cut looks terrible on Deku, he had to get this hair cut because of the intensive surgeries that were done on his cheek and his head which was split open from the battle with Shigaraki. I think a lot of people picture Deku with a lot of different hairstyles when he’s older if you could judge it by the fanart alone, but now that the series is almost over and we’re probably gonna see Deku in his older years, do you think he’ll actually decide to keep some of his hair shaved or go for a completely different haircut, or will Horikoshi choose to keep his SIlhouette mostly the same? It’s amazing that Deku really only got away with losing his quirk and those two scars on his face, because at one point in the battle he had no arms, but now that his days of being injured so badly are likely over since he completely lost One for All, what do you think Plain, Civilian Deku is going to look like in the upcoming chapters?

Firendly reminder that Quirk amplifiers are also cannon along with the gloves (both from the movie), so Deku might be able to use his quirks again, afterall it's the same as All Might
He hasn’t lost his quirk entirely. He still has the embers of One For All, pretty much like All Might had up till season 3
The embers always fade though so he has a few punches left if even

I wonder if he will get expelled from the academy, even if he can keep the embers for two more years he'll eventually lose them.

I honestly can see deku still being a good hero but one that just gets in tell on the enemy because his notes were so well detailed he didnt have to use a quirk to fight bakugo in s1 or s2 during the training
Same. I feel like not only with his notes he'll be good, but with support, gear (possibly made by hatsume) to help him will still be good!

Thank god someone actually understands the surgeries. I posted something like this on Twitter and everyone got pissed at me, I personally think it looks fine. But people need to understand that its hair. It will grow back, and the hair was the hospitals least concern.

I'm not so sure after All Might's fight with the rewinding AFO. All Might held his own despite his weak health against the world's greatest terror to date. Deku, with his understanding and appreciation of quirks, could adapt them with support items.
I hope not he doesn’t deserve to realize his ideals/dreams for not putting down Shigiraki when he had the chance without losing his quirk to do it he almost got AFO the W by keeping him alive!

@java_sucks Well, as far as what's been shown, he has no quirk to speak of, but there was a theory going around that he might have had one but before he or his parents knew it the doctor told AFO about it and he took it from Deku. Like how the shiny guy only had a quirk thanks to AFO giving him one because of his rich parents and the doctor used his position as a doctor to look for quirks that would help AFO or that he would find interesting.

In all honesty. One for all is made up of multiple Quirks but it is worth remembering that the super strength Quirk was not built into the power originally. It could be possible that the only thing remembering is his strength that he can no longer pass on. As he dismantled one for all to preform the transfer.
The super strength came from the stock piling.

The quirk can reverse a physical forms state in time.
Overhaul (a villain) used the user of this quirk to make quirk erasing bullets.
A hero was hit with one of these bullets but by using the quirk Reverse directly on this hero the heros quirk was back.
If it can do that and like how it was reversing time in Deku as he fought Overhaul doesn't they mean Eri can reverse Deku' quirk factor allowing Deku to regain One for All? (and most likely heal him)

I think it's safe to say that Izuku inspired everyone and became a favorite extremely fast. Plus his actions affected everything.
Will he stay at that rank? Who knows. But he did get there.
The point of the story is that the world shouldn’t rely on one person to be its pillar, everyone gets complacent, people slip through the cracks, and in the end when that pillar falls so does the entire structure.

I like the haircut. It makes sense. the running gag was that Deku was very plain looking. This new haircut gives him an edge and paired with the scars...it makes sense. It looks like he's been through things. In anime, a personality change is visualized by a hair change. Deku's is no different. His black-and-white view of what makes heroes and villains are has broadened and this haircut works imo.
