I nearly cried seeing Charles Knight's paintings in the Field Museum in Chicago. His work was on the cover of almost every dino book back in the day, even long after it was out of date! I love that they are using his gorgeous artwork as an educational tool to discuss the evolving fields that are paleontology and paleo art!
That is the only movie (B&W) that's ever scared me. I don't know how old I was but around 6 or 7 I ran to my room and closed the door. I've loved it as a teen and adult I still catch it ever now and again I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
There is an odd fascination of how we thought the primal earth looked like years ago. It's just so much different from how we know it now yet we still recognize it to this day
@@EDGEscience To my knowlegde, Bravoceratops was once considered to be a nomen dubium but in 2021 was considered a valid genus but I got this knowlegde from Wikipidia so I might be very, VERY wrong
I think they do the same thing today as they did back then. Find one bone and it'll look like something already found but I don't see how. Nature is to crazy to name something off of one bone. If you find more then ok but not just one bone
I mean, this may reflect one's ignorance. If one studies enough bone anatomy of enough extinct taxa and then can find enough unique traits in a bone not found in anything else, one can justify naming a new animal off that one bone. There are now even better ways of doing this (photogrammetry, ct-scans, etc.).

19:11 Oh! This is my model! I'm glad it found at least this application
Hey! I'm glad you're covering this guy. I heard that the Absentia modding team is making an Agathaumas for Path of Titans, it looks awesome

China says - hold my beer - here is Sinoceratops
EDGE is the best paleontology UA-cam channel

I never realized that wasn't a triceratops in that movie. I just figured it was given horns like many random depictions of triceratops.
You forgot to mention Bravoceratops in the list of other ceratopians that lived in the same time that Triceratops and Torosaurus did.
Bravoceratops is likely dubious.

More work is being done on the genus.
Finally a reupload
Ah, Charles R Knight created the dinosaurs I grew up with- top man!
When he said, "Wonder beasts" it reminded me of Kipo.
I have a question how can a Triceratops bite its enemies and what its bite movement.
Hold up didn't you already do a video on Agathaumas?
Is this a reupload? I already saw the same video 2 years ago. If my memory serves me right, on the same channel.
It is, watched the original yesterday. Wonder why he re-upload it
I think it’s to give proper credit to the author whose paper this video is based on.
Ahh yeah thought it seemed familiar
Didn't you already made this video ?
He did, but I think he's doing a remake with new added materials and facts.
Bro I was wondering where this video of your’s was
I have a question what does triceratops have good stamina for battle
No one knows
@@EDGEscience Thank you
Reupload?
YOU.
Didnt u already make this video💀🤨
Hrs did, but he didn't properly provide sources or give credit to the appropriate people, which he does at the beg8ning of this one
Agathaumus all along

Agathaumas is a Ceratopsian Dinosaur.
