Yes. Presenter was mistaken. 2006-7 Accord sedans could be had with a 3.0L V6 AND a 6 speed manual trans. I owned an '07 6 speed manual. It had Nav, voice recognition, leather, heated electric front seats and 6 disc premium satellite radio. It came with the Acura 5 spoke wheels from the factory. The V6 manuals were identified by the RED "V6" badge on the trunk lid. Best car I ever owned.
Correction: The sedans did offer the 6 speed on post facelift models. They're just rarer than the coupes. But they are out there if you look. I should know since I own one myself.
I own an 06 coupe 6-6. I've never seen one in the wild and I live in Northern California. My package was lightest available. No nav no spoiler. Graphite pearl. I get offers on it everywhere I go. Strangers knock on my door asking to buy it. I bought it new and it has under 75,000 miles. I'm never selling it. I learned my lesson when I sold a manual transmission Nissan that I missed immediately. So when I bought the Accord new, I told myself don't sell it.... ever. My nephew who is a car guy was blown away by what a sleeper it is.
Yes I own a 2007 Accord Coupe L4 and when I first took it for a test drive 7 years ago I knew I had to buy it. Fast off the line excellent reliability and high resale value.
@@SteffanJohal They're fantastic. Dead reliable, and good looking. I had a 2003 and a 2004, both in Nighthawk black. The 03 I took to maaco and it had Tesla Model 3 wheels, loved that thing.

Have owned 7 of these 6-6 7th gen Accords. 2 sedans & still have one with crazy low miles. Very reliable & ton of power even in stock form. Honda underated their HP #'s too for these years.
@@SteffanJohal I flipped them since needing timing belts & components are an expensive job. The one I should have never sold was only 2k & ran perfectly. They're a dream for highway cruising & mountain passes. Gets the same mpg as my b20/b16 built EG hatch.
I do own one my current one is an 06 coupe with the 5spd manual transmission with a k24a8 with a total of 223,000 miles on it. I plan on dropping a newer k20c4 in it from the newer turbo accords. My main goal is to resto-mod it. Everything in my restoration of it will be plug n play and look as if it was factory. A lot of work and time but I need that donor engine first
7th Gen Accords V6s are awesome. When its due a Clutch replacement, swap in either a 2004-2006 TL 3.2L engine or a 2005-2006 Odyssey J35A6 engine. Swaps right in and mounts directly to the transmission.
@@wiltermind No. The J32A3 and J35A6 (2005-2006 only. Non-Variable Cylinder Management engines) are direct swaps into V6 2003-2007 Accord coupes and sedans with the 6-spd Accord V6 6-spd manual transmission or the 2004-2006 Acura TL 6-spd LImited Slip 6-spd transmission.
I have the 8th gen Accord Coupe 5 speed manual, I4. Bought new, still driving great. Neighbor has the 7th gen Accord Coupe, and not gonna lie, it hasn't aged as well as the 8th gen styling wise and is smaller, but it has a better interior.
The 7th gen accord not the first accord offered HFP lip kit. The lip kit was debuted in 6th Gen Accord coupe (98-00 only). The 06-07 V6 sedan did come with 6spd manual options. Look for Acura TL-S/CL-S wheel with red V6 badge. The 6-6 accord was underrated when it was new, routinely we gapped RSX-S, S2000, 350z and G35 coupe from 40 rolls. I was looking for one but ultimately end up with a 3rd gen TL-S.
They did offer a v6 manual sedan. It was made from 06 to 07. It's very rare. As a matter of fact the picture you put up when you said they didn't make one was actually a picture of a 6-6 sedan lol
Bought a 2007 Accord coupe in 06 as my first "new" car after working a few years. Still have it to this day, as a winter, 2nd car. Kept it in pretty mint condition with only 100k KM. Great, car. Don't make them like this anymore
I have two of these V6 6MT Coupe models in the family, a 2005 and a 2006. While the manual transmission definitely keeps things more interesting, I don't think of this as an enthusiast car. That said, my opinion would likely be different if Honda had equipped this model with a limited slip differential and better handling. Regardless, this is a great all around car. Personally I like the relative simplicity of cars from this era, preferring them over today's vehicles with their added screens/electronics. In all honesty, I actually prefer the interior design of the earlier generation Accords, but the 7th gen is a good overall compromise given this particular powertrain.
The two shortfalls of this car can be easily remedied. 2004-2006 TL 6-spd LSD swaps right in and the suspension is easily rectified with an aftermarket suspension replacement. You can even swap in a 3.2L TL engine or even a Odyssey 3.5L easily. Everything I listed makes it an enthusiast car. Lol
@@andydhillon1977 Sure, there are no shortage of cars that can be made into enthusiast cars. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Honda or the Accord for that matter. I just tend to evaluate cars as they were actually released by their respective manufacturers. Once you start changing things up then all bets are off.
@VirtualGuth I get what you're saying. There are different types of shoppers. I'm the kind of enthusiast who fully expects to make changes no matter what. Even if I got a car like an S2000, changes will be made. Most cars that are sold to the masses need to be watered down to sell more cars. One new car I would consider buying is the new Nissan Z. I've never even thought about buying one and not making changes to it. Suspension and exhaust would be replaced as soon as possible. I personally disagree that there isn't a shortage of enthusiast cars. I would absolutely say there is a shortage. That's why so many 80's and 90's cars are going up in value.
@@andydhillon1977 Thanks for that (I'll apologize in advance for this long-winded reply). I must admit that I tend to make an effort to keep most of my vehicles stock, including my S2000. In the case of the S2K I put a good deal of effort into finding an all-original example to begin with. Whether attending some sort of car show, or simply admiring a car out in public it has always been the older unmolested cars that I am drawn to the most. That said, I don't have anything against others who choose to modify their vehicles and I respect those who approach such changes with a clear vision, pulling it off cleanly. While car enthusiasts will continue to be around for the foreseeable future, the reality is that there are far fewer of them around these days relatively speaking as compared to years ago. (I'm speaking as a guy now in his 60's.). When the vast majority of people want to drive utility vehicles of one sort or another be it a CUV, SUV or whatever, there is very little incentive for manufacturers to produce anything else. By the way, it's not just older cars that are going up in value, but countless other older things as well. This was no doubt exacerbated by the pandemic, but it is a trend that has been evolving for a while now. I believe much of this is a response to the level of automation/digital technology that has become intertwined with our lives. These days I just tend to take it all in when it comes to new cars, but I don't find myself tempted by any of them. While the level of performance on tap now is truly impressive, today's vehicles involve far too much integrated/invasive technology for my liking. In addition, designers must deal with far too many restrictive regulations to come up with anything that appeals to me visually speaking (though I do appreciate the higher levels of safety offered by today's cars). Thus older cars tend to appeal to me all the more overall as time goes by. If I had the money to go out and buy a new Z car, I would much rather spend it on a clean example of a 240Z. But I can understand why many others would choose the new Z.
