Very cool find! I'm curious if you have to obtain permission to excavate a creek like that? I ask because I once got in trouble with Sacramento county in California for digging up the creek behind my house.

I forgot to tell you about something my Mom and I used to do. We took old fishing poles and stripped them to nothing but pole.
We would use them by stick them carefully into the ground and listen for a soft "tink" which was glass. We found lots of good stuff like that.
I just wanted to share :)

Identification ideas: 2:27 in my opinion it's the (horse) calcaneus bone (heel bone) which is part of the knee and attaches to the astragalus bone and the tibia
    7:12 it's a femur
7:34 it's the other end of the femur bone
8:37 probably part of the ulna bone (which attaches to the radius)
9:17 looks like a piece of a radius bone
    9:42 femur
    14:30 (24:05) tibia
I'm not an expert but I find all kinds of ice age bones in my region. So maybe I can tell you my opinion about your wonderful fossils with this comment 😃

I have been experimenting with these fossil shells and aquatic invertebrate tanks and so far things have been going good. They each were thoroughly cleaned without chemicals, soaked for a day each, and placed in low flow, and so far, they haven’t had any ill effects. Take what I say with a grain of salt, of course, and definitely don’t use them with vertebrates. I just wanted to share this in case anyone has tried this or wanted to hear about it.
I will update this if anything goes wrong. 🙂

Reminds me a lot of Leisey shell pit. There was a layer called the bone bed just above the Bermont formation that contained many vertebrate fossils. Might be something the museum may like to look at. I would highly recommend getting one of every shell so you can attempt to get some index taxa to get identification for the formation (though, it may be a bit mixed from the creek). It’s a shame there isn’t much info around on these shells, but I’ve been trying to help out Wikipedia.

Damn yall constantly finding good ass finds. I used to live in ky the coolest thing there was braclopods and similar thing's. I now live in sc I know there's prop teeth here. I know there's a lot of gem mines etc. But I want to also find fossiels you guy's make me want to go play in the creeks just to see you never know I guess.

I think that’s the first horse canine I’ve seen. Pretty amazing.
Seems like finding fossil pieces might be fairly easy in the rivers if you know where to go, but it’s a lot more rare to find big portions of a single animal like that. It’s like tooth tooth tooth claw tooth shell tooth…HORSE! 😱😱😱
I know you found parts of the horse over multiple trips. So is there a point you where you start to arrange the pieces so you know what you still need to find?

@@WILDKYLE hey man, if you ever find yourself headed to Montana, get ahold of me! I would GLADLY take you to my secret spot with great ammonites, ammolite, and baculites😄 looooots of fossils in Montana! Only downside is there is no such thing as vertebrate permit here, so it's inverts only, BUT that is not an issue with how many amazing inverts we have here😄

@@TheoKellison Good to know. I am thinking about moving there in a year or two. I absolutely love ammonites. For now, I just kick around in Louisiana.

I know that it would be unlikely but if you find enough bone fragments of the horse you could probably glue them back together
