Sometimes RUFFLY's Jess hands the reigns to her BMW G650GS adventure motorcycle to Greg to ride through a tricky stretch. Sometimes - often - Greg is overconfident and rides the technical part without any runway - and with German Shepherd Moxie in her carrier on the back.
The result is usually the same: a fumble or a crash. So, you can see that the K9 Moto Cockpit motorcycle dog carrier is thoroughly real-world crash tested!

Should always lift a bike by turning away from it, putting your back against the bike, Squatting down, and then lifting with your legs pushing straight up.

    That dog was so calm!

Oh, cool to see that the dog had no problem with that. Hard panniers and strapping him with little give, looks great for low speed crashes.
I ride (in Mexico by the way, how far into Mexico are you? It'd be cool to meet you guys), and I just got my first dog. I'm debating how and where to take him. I was thinking tank bag with straps attached to me instead of the bike... not sure which way is best. I've seen motorcycles flip in the air like crazy, and that must be deadly for something strapped to it. So I think... high speed slide, better if it's strapped to me, low speed drop or tumble, maybe better if strapped to the bike... ugh, do you know resources to answer this question?
That bridge was a huge no no, you do that slowly with both feet down, live and learn hehehe.

Flipping the bike is going to be dangerous and potentially life threatening no matter what set up. We will recommend the Cockpit for that situation because the solid metal tubes will protect the dog from most situations. That said, if your dog is small or still a puppy then a K9 Sport Sack backpack might be a good option.

This type of bridge is dangerous for any motorcycle/ bicycle!

Tricky bridge! Are there a lot like like in Guatemala?

That one was actually in Mexico and fortunately there aren’t many like that!

Get some boots on that dog, it'll protect the toes in the event of a slide. Your doggo should have some leathers too.

You may want to invest in some rider training. The way you lifted the bike was dangerous.

How dangerous can that be? I agree it's not the most effective way but even done properly with the bike in your back it can be even more dangerous as you cannot hold it back if it wants to fall the other way.
