    *Great for a family of 2 or 3. It cooks quinoa, white, jasmine **MyBest.Kitchen** and brown rice really well. Easy to clean and store because of the size. We haven't used the steamer part of it yet.*

    I have an egg steamer and the instructions say to pierce the top of the egg with a pin which comes with the steamer. The eggs will crack otherwise the instructions say. I see that you don’t pierce the eggs and you get good results !

    What's the height of the glass tray itself? My bowls are 3 inches high, will they fit inside if I need to heat up my leftovers?

    is that water tank made of plastic? and does water heating take place in same plastic water tank??

    • @clumsykitchencat8036
      @clumsykitchencat8036  7 років тому +2

      Yea the water tank is plastic, but the heating is done in the base under the water tank. The water tank itself doesn't get hot at all.

      Steam is routed through plastic channel though.

      @@taarria1551 sorry for the late response, yes it is also plastic, but it hasn't given out any odor after all these years, and I use it almost everyday

    Any BPA plastic involved?

      BPA is not the only toxin. Plastics contain other worse toxics, BPA was just the one that got publicity. By the way, there's no such thing as non toxic metal cookware. All metals contain toxins.

    Is the plastic bad for you? I would think that the steam is hot enough to kill any thing off that would get in your food. I use a plastic cup to drink out of every day. My microwave has a plastic door. my keyboard is plastic my steering wheel is plastic the air that blows in my car. Not Shure plastic steam chamber is that bad. will receive mine this week. I will leave more then.

      I'd be much more worried about the stainless steel tray than the plastic water container.
