What is the Paradox of Choice?
The paradox of choice is the idea that having too many options can lead to indecision, anxiety, and ultimately unhappiness. This is because when people are faced with an abundance of choices, they may feel overwhelmed and unsure about which option is the best one. As a result, they may feel anxious about making the wrong decision and may even avoid making a decision altogether. The paradox of choice can also lead to regret, as people may second-guess their decisions and wonder if they made the right choice.

You have an amazing way of articulating psychological concepts visually. Explains why your channel is so effective!
true. in today time, I usually feel unsatisfied due to 100+ choices while shopping online, though the final choice is the best I always feel regret not chosing the 2nd best and vice versa.
For me 4 choices is the maximum number we should put.

One of the fundamental issues facing this age of abundance we are entering.
Blesser content
Ones you hit 40 your options become obsolete. No longer do you think of how/when/ or who you should marry. Your first priority in this instance are your parents. You do not have any time to think about your own stuff.
I think this is because there's a limited amount of available choices that we could try out and come to a decision about. Available choices upto that limit increase our happiness about the variety but after that number, once we've chosen something, we could be left wondering what else is out there? am I settling? could there be an option that I would've liked more?
But how does this effect compare to the effect where a medium sized popcorn priced close to the large increased large sales by a huge margin. It might’ve been the framing effect? So the right amount of choices and the right pricing works where too many choices just makes you want to think about it.

Happens with me on Netflix....too many choices really....
We wish our channel is like yours 😢
Which tool is he using to create this type of animated videos?? Please help.
Most likely Adobe apps. Adobe Illustrate + Pro I'm guessing ???
Netflix is where you’ll encounter the paradox of choice.
TRADER JOE'S grocery stores intentionally provide a limited choice of similar products. Seems to be working well for them.
Its an old video tho
What's the paradox? I hate how people overuse this word.
i just googled the exact definition of paradox and it completely describes this phenomena
@@meyr1992 what's the paradox then? what's the contradiction?
@@HyperionStudiosDE the fact that we all believe that more choices = better when in reality that isn’t always the case. most people if you ask them if they want more options in their local store they would say yes but in reality shops with limited options make more sales on average
@@meyr1992 in general people are aware that there's a sweet point beyond which more is not better. that applies to almost everything.
the only question is where that sweet spot is. nobody would believe for even a second that having 10,000 brands of ketchup in a supermarket would be reasonable.
however I now remember it said in the video that the larger choice first attracted more people which I guess you could argue contradicts the lower sales figure. although I wouldn't call that a paradox either.
Hey Marx, I know you won't pin this comment because it's nothing, you would have if I have said you have a great account.
