I haven't been this excited about a movie in a long time....the original is one of my all time favourites, and while I did enjoy a couple of the sequels (most notably H20), nothing has come close. This actually looks like it might, and that means a lot to this decades long fan. On a semi-related note, Jamie Lee Curtis has aged magnificently. She's so beautiful.
Saw the film 2 nights ago, was very impressed, a great story telling great direction they took and the horror is best of the best, I enjoyed the small moments they had where they honored the original, honestly its the best in the franchise.
How crazy is it that Danny Mcbride is a producer on the new Halloween? Also this is literally the 3rd time they’ve decided to kinda reboot it from the original 2 but this one excludes all others besides the original.
Everybody has microphones, and I still couldn’t hear a thing (even with the volume cranked) until I was in a dead quiet room. Come on MTV, I would have thought you knew a thing or two about sound!?!?
I have such a good feeling about this film, its not going to be a let down I am sure, David Gordon Green would not disappoint fans, and neither would Jamie Lee Curtis, as soon as it is released in the U.K I will be there to watch it, I can not wait!
@@Caleb-iq6jg She said in the early 2000's that the only way for her coming back to Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later was to agree to comeback in the next movie that ultimately ended up being Halloween: Resurrection. So it was for contractual reasons aswell, not just for a paycheck.

I first saw Halloween when I was 8 years old and it premiered on television right before Halloween II was released. Even though it was edited, I was so scared that I had a hard time walking from my living room to my bedroom. The following weekend, I begged my parents to take me to Halloween II. They warned me that what I watched was edited and that the theatrical version would be much scarier. I convinced them that I could handle it. I loved sitting in the front row and sat alone while my parents were in the back of the theater. As soon as the movie started, I was so petrified that I could not move. When the scene where the woman gets her face scalded by boiling water was on, I threw up all over the floor. I jumped up and ran back by my parents. After the movie, I had nightmares of Michael Myers for about 4 years. What made the movie was the music and jump scares. I believe this was lost in translation with the sequels. I am so glad the Carpenter is involved and the writers/directors were huge childhood fans like myself. I have waited 40 years for this movie and am just sick with anticipation. Thanks to all who are involved with this movie. I trust that it will be great.
I Can't Wait To See This But I Do Wish They Would Of Took Danielle Harris's Offer On Including Her Character Of Jaime Lloyd In It. They Could Of Gave Her The Daughter Role Of Laurie's. It Would Of Been Awesome To See The Two Ladies Of The Halloween Films Together In One Film. :D

Danny McBride is hilarious, but he knows how to write a horror movie. Comedy and horror are both about the perfect timing and element of surprise. I think the film had just the right amount of humor added into the script to balance well with the serious elements and scare factor. I was highly impressed with the film, it had the right feel and atmosphere. It felt like a true Halloween movie and not like another Rob Zombie reboot. Carpenter's music was dead on and I am loving the soundtrack. Go see this movie!!!
I could't think of her name either. I was thinking, "Yeah, the girl across the street babysitting Lindsey. Yep I know who you're talking about". lol I even remember lucky Paul, who never got picked up that night. Couldn't remember Poor Annie's name though lol
I think it's gonna be a great version he's a comedian and that will bring a great.look or tsie on it I love him I love mike it's gonna be great I would bet my life it's gonna be one of the best sequels to any movie ever made
Halloween 2 is a great movie too, arguably even scarier/smarter kills than the first. Only eh thing about it is people do a lot of stupid things in the second movie that only happen for the plot, but its still really good.
H20 was a very worthy follow-up with strong suspense and terror and a great performance by Curtis. Not sure I'm down with this bizarre dismissal of it.
+HinHwood I think for a lot of people H20 is great when it's Laurie vs. Michael. I tend to agree with that. For me H20 is is middle of the road but it has a very strong ending.

What could have happened was when the sheriff runs over Michael and the doctor kills the sheriff, the doctor could have become Michael. Instead of just the mask, he could have taken the boiler suit, mask and pretended to be Michael and have a similar ending to h20. Obviously you wouldn't have the grandaughter in the car too because that would have ruined it and a new actor to play the doctor that's a similar build. That way a sequel makes sense and easy to justify.

Yeah this one is going to be something. That much is for sure. So excited for this movie.

Halloween 2 is actually Laurie's ptsd fever dream in the hospital. So it did take place but it was in her head.
