Tata Safari 2021 top model offers features which meet all basic needs. But ventilated seats, better infotainment system along with 4x4 will be good additions in next update. Tata Safari XZA Plus and Jeep Compass S variant are terrific cars. Comparison of both is apples to oranges due to 5 seater and 7 seater.

definitely, Jeep is a more reliable and better-tuned product as compared to Harrier. Fit and finish, Infotainment is also better in Jeep. However, what I dislike about compass is the low front bumper and poor angle of approach. For Jeep either go with manual front wheel drive, else if 4x4 is required should be taken on trail hawk. 4x4 automatic with n engine and transmission capable of offroading but lower bumpers which are unfit for off road is a mismatch.
People rarely take non trailhawk models off-road
What you say is true but the 4×4 on jeep compass is not meant for true off-roading. Jeep have Wrangler for that. The four wheel drive on Compass is mostly for better grip and traction in slippery conditions like rain or snow.
@@RyanChristopher777 The trail hawk 4x4 is better than normal 4x4 in jeep compass due to elevated bumper and radiator with better angle of approach. Though its nowhere near Wrangler.
I purchased jeep compass in 2018 now my vehicle has completed 107000 km, it's ok when compare to other vehicle.
14:03 The 4x4 system in the JEEP Compass remains in auto mode by default. The power switches between front wheels and all wheels as and when required. In tough terrains it can give equal power to all four wheels after you switch on the 4x4 Lock mode. This mode should be only used while off-roading and not in smooth roads.

Driving dynamics of Tata cars are good but Compass has the best driving dynamics.
Ek bar mud me phas gaya to 4x4 ka use pata lagega.
Black interior of Compass is quite claustrophobic, moreover, for a safari user, it is quite difficult to fit in Compass, as Compass is very compact from inside. If someone is shifting from sub compact suv to compass then ok, but if someone uses full size 3 row suv & then coming into compass, it is difficult..... My opinion 🇮🇳🙏

The 4^4 display is actually there. When you put it on auto and it switches to 4*4 high, the button on the centre console glows red. Also, there is a huge difference in the driving dynamics of both these cars, especially on twisty highways and at high speeds. The Jeep handles like a car and the safari handles like an SUV.
Congratulations to both of you. But imo, you should never stretch you budget by that much.

Tucson is the true all-rounder in the 30 lakh segment. And its engine/gearbox combo is almost as good as the much more expensive Germans. I simply do not understand why it is doesn't sell in numbers.

Beg to differ here. Compass has superior suspension and better ride quality than safari as I have driven both on long road trips. The steering is on heavier side in safari at low speeds and due to weight and higher ground clearance, safari is not as nimble as compass.
On the other side, safari has better road presence and much better space than compass. In sports mode, it feels quicker than compass. And 2nd row visibility is great in safari. The infotainment system and reverse camera in safari are dated and Tata should upgrade it and add 360 camera.
Both are excellent cars, go for compass for 5 seater and safari for 7 seater. Don’t recommend harrier because it doesn’t have all disc brakes and safari’s handling is an improvement over harrier’s.
Compass has an independent rear suspension. It's better in the ride and handling department.

I have been using Tata harrier for past 6 months.this car lacks interior build quality.95 percent of interior cabin is made of cheap plastics.they done it for cost cutting.spending 26 lakhs for harrier top model is not a value for money upgrade.moreover the infotainment is one of the worst in the segment.tata have to improve a lot .lot of feauters are missing from harrier .Giving build quality on the outside doesn't mean it will justify the price.driving dynamics is not at all good when compared to other rivals like jeep compass.body roll is seen in larger,not comfortable for long journeys.
jeep compass 4X4 is best
At 26:15 the other comparable option was Hyundai Tuscon. But one point that was clearly missing in the vlog is the price difference of almost 7+ lacs between the two. Any features in jeep cannot be justified for that difference.

You are correct about 'blindly going for XUV700', only those who are blind enough to see loopholes will go for XUV over Safari, ignoring poor 3rd row space (hardly a kid can sit on XUV, Okish materials used on dashboard, ride quality with vibration.
Just for ADAS (mostly useless in city) and few features, people won't go 'blindly' for XUV 😂 Also D8 platform is superior in all terms. I am not even talking about not so good front look of XUV.

Yeah the platform used in Safari is d8 but that's old too land rover doesn't even uses it now. Plus the most important thing power 185hp with 450nm torque whereas harrier/safari has 170ps and 350nm torque. Yes the build quality isn't tested as of now but safari too isn't tested. And above all these tons of other features. Plus mahindra developing engines gearboxes etc in house whereas Tata sourcing from other companies ( this is not a bad thing but still). And above all this awd option. So don't be blinded
Compass should be compared to x1,q3 gla and Range rover sport; and not with safari Harrier,xuv,scorpio and hector etc

Safari could have better if provided 4x4, good infotainment system and better Steering. Such a waste of good land rover platform with poor strategies of Tata Motors.

Comparing Jeep with any car in its segment and even one segment above is an insult to Jeep...Compass itself is a car of Premium segment being sold in a segment bellow (price wise)....💥💥💥💥No way one can get similar Premiumness in that price range and all you can get a cheap copy/rip-off of everything...Compass Is Only SUV / C-SUV that gives genuine Premiumness bellow 25L...Compass Is Out Of League and Absolute VFM...One Thing Good About American Brands That They They Don't Over Charge When Assemble And Manufacture Cars Locally and Try To Maintain Same Quality Standards As They Do For Their Home Market Or Other European Markets...The kind of jeep we get here is the same they get in American Market with few extra features at same price unlike other manufacturers who charge extra here and to my surprise some variants are cheaper here...Same was the case with Ford and GM..Sad thing they left...!! 🤔😑🙈
You forgot Hyundai Tucson, which is selling big numbers in the US, whereas Compass isn't even sold in the US.. That says it all..
You cannot compare India to US. Because in US roads are way better. There Tucson or other premium cars makes more sense. For proper off-roading they prefer more capable cars likes grand Cherokee. Also in US cars way cheaper compare to India. Also their income is more than India. So they easily afford more premium cars. In India compass makes more sense. Compass is good on highway as well on mild off-roaring. Tucson is bit better on road, but compass 4*4 is more capable than Tucson AWD.
