So appreciate Dr. Louise Newsome and all she is doing to "pioneer" a better way for women (hormones in general). I hope to see some here in the USA join in here efforts. Thank you for allowing us to listen in on such a great conversation.
Im in Australia and have a godsend of a dr Colin Hollaway who takes my bloods 6mnthly and prescribes aplant based troche made up in a compounding pharmacy according to my levels . This has completely helped all of my horrible symptoms. Sometimes they go out a bit but the bloods will show the drops etc and get corrected. I am one of those woman who from one day to next felt like jumping off the bridge which is not me at all so I'm so grateful to get the help i need. Thanks to wonderful people like you that take the time to care about all the woman in the world suffering from menapause but like the term female hormone deficiency better. I was soo dissapointed in a female GP who poohood dr Hollaways concept and she had nothing to offer. Thanks so much
Its fascinating listening to two doctors or clinicians in general who especially think putside of the box talking about these issues and preventative medicine and how bad our system is as doing it and preventing so many other diseases that end up costing the NHS more moeny and also the social and personal cost of not optimising the maximum wellbeing of our society and population. I really wish whenever I see political debates on the NHS on tv or media in general they would bring on a whole panel of practitioners from various sectors of the health service including managers and clinicans from all areas to talk about what our NHS needs and where it could save money and provide the best care and treatment options for the population. It always seems whenever these conversations are had that doctors and clinicans in general and people who actually work in the system are left out of the conversation. I really appreciate Louises work on meopause and how terribly bnelglected this whole area of womens health has been and how badly informed and prepared we are for somehting that will inevitably happen to all women. I would love it if you could do more around mental health and the rare psychiatrists who are prepared also to call out the conventional disgnositic system and overuse of psych meds.It would also be nice to hear more about holistic and alternative approaches to mental and emotional health rather than handing out pills. It would be nice of you could talk to doctors like Joanna MOncrieff and psychologist Richard Bental who are challenging the mental health diagnosis too and how e need to look differently at what they are and how they are treated. Mental health is still such a neglected area and treatments and alternatives are not talked about anywhere near enough. I know this might seem off topic and also abit rosky to do as challenging psychiatry and pharma is another big risky area but if you ever feel inclined or able to find those psychiatrists who challenge the dogma that would be great.
I am from canada. I was cut off hrt because of the study. I felt terrible...long story..I am 73 years and I really would like to be back on hrt. I have an appointment in 1 week to ask for it.
If every woman had their hormones back, and there was also no obesity, then the health care system would not make any money. Makes me wonder, does the Health Care system wants people sick?
This is COOL, COOL, COOL! It's Zsuzsa from Liverpool. The best video I have ever seen on menopause!!! I hope your training for healthcare professionals will be back soon; I was in the middle through it when it was taken off the fourteenfish site. Where could we access it again?
I had a TIA at 43. No contraception since. Take clopidogrel. I've been distinctly peri (night sweats, brain fog, headaches, itchy skin, insomnia, lathargy, erratic periods, tingly legs) for approx 10 months. I've had bloods, now awaiting a letter from cardiologist to tell my GP if I'm allowed HRT. My TIA was caused by a PFO left to right shunt. No history of hypertension, no shortness of breath or anything prior, fit as a fiddle. Is there any reason I can't have HRT?
Thank you once again for an intelligent, informed conversation around this subject. I'm in Australia and will be looking for my 3rd doctor to finally give me HORMONES!!! 🤣... I've gone to apparent specialist in this field, spent $$ with zero outcome, oh... except to come back in for another test... NO ONE IS LISTENING. I have seriously been told by 2 doctors I'd have to jump through hoops to get HRT... my friend the same. It's like I'm asking for crack 🤣🙄 It's so disheartening, and who has time to take off work for constant appointments and tests.... If anyone in Australia Brisbane have a good doctor... can I please get their number 🤞🏻
I am in Melbourne and onto my 3rd doctor too. Been fobbed off with antidepressants and fat shamed. Finally got a gynaecologist appointment. I am going in equipped with knowledge. I need HRT to continue living. I am having to cut down work because I cannot cope any more. Ridiculous, I am 58. Am I to just sit at home and wait to die?
@@patriciamckay9611 I mean doctor who specialise in this . And you can do it from home . I pray you get answers. You can buy relatively cheap from Europe ..
I found a Dr. (using Google) under 'Australasian Menopause Society'. I did do some education first for myself to get around resistance for any 'NO you can't take any HRT because.....' I listened to several U tube channels to inform myself on the different types of HRT too. Bioidenticals, I was confused about, but after listening to Dr Louise and Dr. Taylor (American), body identicals were the obvious choice. Yet, I'm on Clamira patches. There is a shortage of the body identical patches here. Going on the gel Estrogel instead. I'd never heard of the word 'perimenopausal' EVER! and after my GP discussed this with me, she put me on the herbal supplements because "I'm not menopausal" 🙄🙃 Useless, and very expensive. Found the clinic here (Gold Coast), and started HRT. My symptoms are better already after 3 weeks. Still hickcupping through the high and low rollcoster ride of hormones, but feeling so much better. Hope this helps you find a Dr. or like me three doctors that I picked that could help me, without them really knowing that they are in fact a team! 👏👏👏😁
Hi I have started taking Utrogestan but I have noticed it contains gelatin . This is not permitted in some religions and for vegetarians. Why are these capsules not vegetarian?

A few tips to have a painless peri-menopose: - eat real food, as much organic as possible - remove from your home all chemical products - stop using beauty products loaded with chemicals which contain hormonally disruptor and go for organic oils, real soap made from organic oils
As a natural health professional, I did all of the things you mentioned (a perfectly clean lifestyle with appropriate supplements) for YEARS, and I still had a hideous perimenopause. Please don't downplay it.
Thank you for sharing your concerns about the cost of HRT. There are several factors that can contribute to its high cost, including research and development, manufacturing, and regulatory fees. Insurance coverage and other factors can also impact the cost. It's always a good idea to discuss your options and concerns with a healthcare provider, as they may be able to help you find more affordable options or assist with insurance coverage.
All the women Please be careful of her advise , Please read daily mail articles , which came out on the 3/4/2023. BMS described how she’s prescribed women high doses of estogens , which caused women cancer and other issues .
I would be more careful of Daily Mail articles than Dr Newson! The work she has done is amazing, I'd look beyond scare mongering headlines if I was you!
We can't live well.without hormones. I have seen so many women falling sick around menopause. Auto immune diseases so common around this time. Hormones are nutrients for the body.
Estrogen doesn't cause breast cancer. Alchohol, smoking, terrible diets and processed foods and lack of exercise are way more likely to cause it than any estrogen. We've had it our whole lives and it never caused cancer. Be careful of the misinformation you are getting. Most of all don't spread it. We don't need more misinformation on this subject. Got enough already. Estrogen protects against breast cancer and other cancers.
I sincerely hope Louise gets recognised by the King of England for her dedication to women's health at some stage in her life. She is brilliant!!❤

Great conversation on an important topic. But I would love a part 2 which focuses more on diet for menopause please

Thanks to Louise my hero!

If every woman had their hormones back, and there was also no obesity, then the health care system would not make any money.
Makes me wonder, does the Health Care system wants people sick?
Absolutely! And YES! As long as we the 'people' indulge in Suger and prepared foods... the 1% will have succeeded.
Thank you for this talk! This is just a horrible feeling… just awful

It's a pity i cannot listen to this. The background music is too loud and very very very annoying
Logic class: Required reading! yes to that.
Lesser known: dizziness, light headedness or feeling like your head is stuffed full of cotton.
I got four patches to do me for a month 😂 evorol Conti patches 😭 neausa and vertigo please thanks ♥️🌹
