You lube the gasket on the oil filter so it doesn't stick to the piece of equipment. That's why it's very important to check that your seal from your oil filter did not stick to your piece of equipment when you remove them. If you put a new filter on without checking you could double stack the seals and wind up creating a huge mess. Lubing the seal helps mitigate that issue.
Hey First up That push in plug Do yourself a favour and throw them in the bin! They are designed for an emergency and what then happens they are left and forgotten till they leak, and they will So why not just fix it 100% with a patch. Clean the surface properly and use as little glue as necessary and wait five minutes before applying patch then roll If the tyre won’t take air it’s worth standing it up and bouncing it with valve at bottom before using the blaster. Its often worth trying. Lube the seal of filter ensures better seal, hand tight not over tight since it will be a nightmare getting it off. Yes full the new filter so engine doesn’t run without oil for that short time. Plus when it hits the dipstick mark you know it’s true
Hi. Hi tech farmer was carrying out a similar activity on his fields, that is marking out the boundaries. I'm learning ! Greetings from Dundalk, Ireland...
I've used emery cloth on pitted cylinders... helps the seals out at least to ride over them. Wonder if there's something that could be coated on those rods to fill in the pits since that keeps intaking debris every time the cylinder extends/retracts.
You guys have not yet bought a tire changer. Get a good one and may as well get a balancer with it. There might be a couple square feet of room in that shop for it
Loved the video walkthrough of our filters! Thanks for choosing us and for the great unboxing video. Happy farming!
Our pleasure! Thanks again

We ALWAYS lube the gasket and prime the filter for oil. Always enjoy your videos Preston and Fettig family.
Thanks 👍

I have no idea
You lube a seal on any filter so it keeps the seal moist and it won’t dry up and start leaking… some people leave filters on for years
Dang...
Great video Preston
Love your videos. Learning is the most fun part of maintenance. Also... hope that someday I can call an E85 my "little" excavator. 😄
Thank you. We are definitely very blessed..
What brand are your tire tools?

Hello 👋 Cameron Brandon and your Dad Preston
Hi
You guys have not yet bought a tire changer. Get a good one and may as well get a balancer with it. There might be a couple square feet of room in that shop for it
We should but haven't maybe one day

Do you prefer the cat, or the case excavator, or are they about the same?
I think they are about the same haven't been able to run the cat much yet
