Honestly I feel like we don't say it enough but what you do is so amazing! Not only are you really funny but you always use different strategies and under rated/ bad stuff. I'm glad that there is someone like you out there because most youtubers who do battles show barely any diversity or only use the most popular strats, which gets so boring! Encoring Z-Moves should force Struggle...It'd be a neat little weakness, it wouldn't be prominent because Encore isn't carried on many viable pokemon and it's not like it's a perfect attack to use a slot up...Z-Moves should just not have the lack of risk they have, so every little detail one could throw in to react to them should be a thing...
Imo, Struggle is a better way because it makes more sense (Though if Status moves were locked in, fair) and locking them into the standard move isn't really hurting the opponent at all...It's more of a "Well, I just happen to have an Encore user out and this is perfect" response, which is why I don't feel that this sort of punishment is all that bad for Z-Moves, especially ones as silly as Kommo-O's and things like Z-Splash, Z-Conversion, etc. that buff every stat for minimal drawbacks...
It's like a easy mode of combo Encore + Disable = Struggle, a bit unfair lock a pokemon in struggle just for one z-move. Holding in a move buff would be enough to bring a suitable Hazer, 'Target-Outer' or Attacker type, or the foe player would have to give up the buffs to save the pokemon. Kommo-o's z-move must be hard nerfed (remove AoE or the buff effect), but z-splash and z-conversion could easy countered only with Encore lock without struggle.
As I said, the status-moves are fair and it makes sense that they'd just lock the move because they don't use an entirely different attack, Splash and Conversion would just lock into Encore, but honestly, it'd be the same result... You're not taking into account how the situation would be: If you Encored the same turn as the Z-Move, most that would happen is them being forced to switch out the next turn...If you were faster or had Prankster, and Encored the turn after the Z-Move was used, it'd be pretty much a Fake Out that does a quarter damage to their health... In both cases, you can decide whether or not your mon is worth keeping, either way, it got to use its Z-Move...Also, Z-Moves break through Encore, so it'd basically be a mutual relationship... Of course, if your opponent is on his last pokemon and then you Encored and they couldn't switch out, then you played them into defeat... I don't see how this is broken, this was meant to be a momentum shaker, but I don't think it's that bad of a punishment...Sure, Encore would be an amazing reaction to Z-Moves, but it only works when the Z-Move was pulled off, and if it hits before a Z-Move, the Z-Move still blasts through Encore (and they're already locked into an attack, therefore, they can't be Encored a second time)...

That's what this first guy did but it didn't work because your team (maybe accidentally) counters that strategy. Once charizard had plus, it was no use focusing down the pokemon beside him because it will always give charizard the plus boost. This is the one team of yours that people would be better off not ignoring the threat. Great work as always! You should make more teams that give your opponent no option but to focus down the threat, to take advantage of the fact that people who watch you have caught on to your general style of bullshit.

I tried something like this on Showdown, but with the faster Dedenne so I could go Timid on Charizard. Yes, Lando-T is incredibly fair and balanced.
