There's an interview here on YT w the director that goes into a lot of detail about the movie & meanings of things in the movie, which is really interesting & helpful. One thing he mentions is that Johnny wanted to wear the robe for the whole movie. Don't blame him lol
If you look at back interviews he looked incredibly young until his late 40's. When he was in the height of his now known abuse he recieved off her he aged a decade v quickly. Its very sad to see.
