Alexander, I can't tell you how much I admire your aquariums! I am sure this is my favorite video of yours, and yes I want more microscope adventures and more looks into your tanks and your gorgeously healthy brightly colored fish and plants. I am coming back into the hobby after 15 years of not touching a tank, and I can't be more surprised at how much the hobby has changed. I am so glad to have found you and your amazing channel and you inspire me in my new tank that I am trying to build now. I might not be able to do every single thing in this way, but I will try to do as much as I can! You are my goal-setter. Thank you!

Hey, very interesting. You should make more videos like this and try it more organized. For instance, you can try to target certain algae, like diatoms (which are very important in any aquatic habitat) or useful zooplankton like the rotifers (by the way, I think you found one at 19:18)

@@Fishtory had some stuff i had to do first :D i bet there could be different colonies everywhere substrate layers, depths, areas plants heater fish dens. I have a 20g tank I’m working on figuring out what i want in it and what i need. But my 3g algae/ plants only tank lol... the algae on the glass has random white circles where i think organisms are eating the algae its interesting.

    • @jnburdn1083

And even on the fish themselves. I was considering if i bought some blue shrimp from LRB he sells bags of mulm water if that would survive the mail and if it would work to transplant his tank environment to my new one. Was also thinking I’d set it up like this. Mulm mixed in with substrate or substrates not sure what ill go with yet then plant a few things for some carpet and add just a little water. Idk curious on your thoughts. I’m new so the tank will start out slow some neocaradina for sure couple snails ricefish/guppys/endlers/or tetras maybe a long fin betta that wouldn’t be able to hunt anything down....... lol I’ve done it again i wrote you too much. My apologies Alex you don’t gotta respond. Ive been watching a select amount of fish channels and watching videos on tanks fish shrimp etc. for i think its been 9 months about now and all i have is some plants 2 of three types are still alive if not doubled/tripled in amount my Monte Carlo didn’t do well in a ball and couldn’t keep it in substrate so it turned into a algae ball and the dead plants parts killed most the rest but there’s a few random good pieces still alive in cups of water. Sorry for the structure of my writing never was my strong suit and didn’t need to write big papers. I’m Justin btw
