- The Returning 96 Gal Deco in Splatoon 3 Fresh Season has got to be the New Best Weapon in Season 3. The way Kraken works with its new movement options is SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY. The 96 Gal just having a Splash Wall too in general just makes it such a joy to play and turns it into a beast! So i took the 96 Gal Deco straight in to X Battles instantly getting Top 500 and begin my climb on the X Rank Leader board!

using krak on splat roller makes me feel like a kid again, it’s literally perfect down to the very last detail. these weapons feel incredible
Its both so satisfying but annoying to deal with, its sooo annoying to run away from, but finally killing the guy who used it in the end feels great
I started using these weapon yesterday, never played the first game but i can say that is realy fun.
I love the new Splat Roller kit because VRoller was only good in Tower Control. This new kit is more varied.
Well, wouldn't it be better if it was put on the big swig roller?

I absolutely love the Kraken in this game! It feels like a perfect match between the fun and power from Splatoon 1 while more toned down balanced. Been loving the Krak-On so much!
Idk man they might nerf the kraken. Seems a little busted with the hp.

@@SuspiciousTemmie I get what you’re saying, but it’s really hard to counter right now. I’m not saying that because I don’t know how to fight it. But that charge attack is really quick and hard gives little to no chance to avoid. They might not nerf the hp but definitely the duration for a charge attack. It’s too damn quick.

I miss the speed and power from 1. It feels so sluggish, but still fun.
I am having fun with the 96 deco, but the rapid deco is also a lot of fun. Deco knows what they’re doing with kits

@Sparksterlot I mean admittedly it's the best weapon to get angle shooter and one of the best to get zip, the only things better to get zip are splash and squiffer
Rapid Deco is fun, but that special sure isn't.
Rapid Deco in this game is better than KRapid in Splatoon 2. Change my mind.

Kraken is the saving grace we thought it would be. Even amongst the questionable stage changes and kit decisions, the Kraken lives up to its new Royale title
Seeing Dude having genuine fun with the kraken after for so long since its absence is the best thing ever. It’s like watching him being back to his Splatoon 1 days!
As someone who's never played splaton 1. Those old fresh vibes are hiting me well after trying 96. Lods of fun.

Dude is actually the UA-camr that made me pick up .96 Gal around the end of Splatoon 2 's life and around the beginning of Splatoon 3. I'm so happy this weapon has an actually good kit again that isn't just Ink Armor spam.
I never thought I'd see the day where I'm not only okay that the Kraken is back, but I'm genuinely enjoying playing with and against it. Fighting a kraken right now feels like a dance, where you try and stay out of range, but be close enough to punish the kraken's end lag.
Also krak-on is great for solo queue clams. Kraken to saunter to the basket and beakons to help you and your team move around nice and quick.
Fighting a Kraken in Splat 3, so far, feels like a bull fighting match. They're just constantly trying to charge at you and you have to "Ole!" out of the way, until they lose steam. It's pretty fun!

Splatoon 3 feels so much more chaotic now with the two new specials and honestly I‘m loving it
weapons suprisingly fun despite the concerns we all had, never touched a splaterscope, but played for hours last night getting quick snipes, and Kraken suprisingly off to a good start, not too hard to dodge if you respect its space, while still having a hefty knockback when shot at! ALSO superchump crazy good displacement tool when played right.
Ah this takes me back to 1.3 splatoon 1 where this weapon was seen practically everywhere

Can I just say, Dude, how much I love how much joy and fun you are having in this video? I've seen a number of videos and streams with high level players mostly being fairly meh if not outright disappointed with the new stuff. It's awesome seeing you have so much fun with the game and the return of your beloved .96 Gal and Kraken! 😂 ❤❤❤

Been watching Dude since the Splatoon 1 days and man, I understand his reaction entirely. I missed kraken so much, .96 gal deco was one of my favourites
I'm really enjoying this season so far!
Kraken feels overpowered but in a way that's perfectly healthy for the game. Some things can be annoying like a team alternating them on the tower for free points but otherwise it's a great addition.
I played for the first time in ranked fresh season and there was one match where the opposing team had a guy with the krak on roller who got 30 kills. It's really good I've never seen anyone get that much lol. Kraken is hella good also. Nice addition.
I absolutely love seeing how much fun Dude is having with this weapon, his smile is so incredibly contagious
Krak-on roller was the first new weapon I picked up and it SLAPS. It’s feels so good and Kraken royale is actually busted for it
It doesn't even feel oppressive to play against! I love it. The new specials really change the way the game feels and is played for the better
Kraken royale is by far the best special in this game it’s so damn fun
I'm impressed that they were able to balance the Kraken so well while still making it feel good. Making the jump not a 1-hit kill really helps with that, I think.
Also maybe it's just me... but the netcode feels way better than it was 7 years ago.
I've been having a ton of fun with the Neo Sploosh. I've been using a set with Quick Respawn and a main of Sub Power Up, and it just means that death means nothing since I can instantly return to the frontlines as soon as I die. I am the eternal nuisance. It's surprisingly effective too!
4:32 *FUN FACT:* You can (sort of) cancel the Kraken's end-lag by Squid-Rolling as you're shrinking!
Although, it won't make you shoot sooner, you just might parry something and stay alive
Kraken being back, and being able to play Krak on roller and .96 brings me back to when I was having fun with the first game back on the Wii U
I’m so happy they’re back now
I have a theory, so you know how this season is heavily based on splatoon 1, the fact that it also released about the same time as wave 1, I think that wave 2 and the season after fresh season will be heavily based on splatoon 2 since wave 2 has the splatoon 2 inkopolis in the trailer (so we might get stuff like reworked Sting ray, baller etc).
ehhhh would rather those stay in 2. we already have killer whale, and kraken fills ballers niche at this point

I'm so happy the L-3 D has burst bomb again. And any special that helps it deal with objects is good enough for me, not to mention being able to one shot crabs.
i love 96 deco so far, but i feel like when the special runs out it leaves u super vulnerable and you instantly get splatted. at least in my experience so far
I’ve died twice to that happening
The trick with the kraken is to not get too greedy. If you get your kill it's sometimes best to retreat back to your teammates instead of going deep into enemy territory where you'll get ganged up on.

How dude is feeling about the kraken returning is how I felt when the tri zooka some what returned and the solo splatling opponents and able to solo wipeout teams with this special feels heavily well, especially with objective shredder to instantly splat a crab tank user with one direct.
Even though it isn’t on my octo brush yet… I love it. I love it so god darned much. I bought splatoon 2 under the misinformed belief I’d be able to turn into a kraken, now the dream has come true
Let's pray that Kraken destroys Crab meta! Because, I'll be honest, I'd much rather deal with a strong, but close range special, than one that can snipe you from E-Liter range. Even if Kraken becomes the new meta, it's still gonna be more enjoyable than crab!
multiple krakens has been fun even to avoid, crab shows up and its still annoying though, its just a wall that unless your a splatanna have a really hard time overcoming.
Balanced to the core good to see this special back.
Kraken's fun, but one problem I have with it is in Clam Blitz - allowing you to carry the football with you as you use the special.
Zipcaster to me is fine, because you can still get killed while using the special and the football will drop where you die, and even if you don't die you will still jump back to the spot where you activated the special, so any form of progress to the basket is just negated. Also, you cannot pick up or throw any clams while using the special, so the special sort of refrains you from using it as a cheap clam blitz tactic on your own.
Kraken, however, while it does have a considerable end lag once the special ends, it really doesn't matter if no one's there to kill you afterwards (either no one is there to defend or you killed all of the basket defenders). So after the end lag is gone you can straight up just score a basket; it's like an 8-second invincible Inkbrush tactic.
You can go ahead and call it a skill issue, I'm just pointing this out since I really hope I don't meet anything but Inkbrush and Kraken in Clam Blitz because people see it as an easy Clam Blitz win.

The 96 deco is definitely one of the most fun long range shooters, and probably one of the most fun shooters in general

@@stripedrajang3571 It’s got probably the highest skill curve out of any of the shooters but once you finally start to master it, it feels amazing. Been honing my 96 skills since late Splatoon 2 and I’m glad to see it get its most iconic kit back after 7 years.

I love how this guy is so calm while playing on pro-player levels while me who plays more cassually is cursing everyone's existance and the game's match making with constant visceral screams
if you can jump to a kraken then that will be the ultimate clam blitz strategy
Perfect kit since kraken can use intensify and gal needs it, wall on a gal is already scary enough.

I’m already 100k/160k on 4 starring Krak-On. I absolutely love it, it’s by far the best Beakon weapon no contest with a top tier special that can beat Crab. Umami and Manta seem like really good maps for roller too.

Been playing the new sploosh kit, and it’s been fun. The beacons are great for being an annoyance to the other team. And wail helps me close the gap on the other team. Hopefully Nintendo adds sploosh 7 next with splatbomb/trizooka cause this weapon needs a poking kit
i was interested in the 96 deco literally just because i thought the sparkles looked cool, and now that i see its kit and playstyle it actually looks fun. i may try it out

"Kraken is balanced"
Proceeds to never get tamed because there is no cooldown on dashing and while you are charging you can't be tamed so it is an unfightable special that can chase people clear across the map. Perfectly balanced.
I love kraken so so much , especially as a someone who has been around since splat 1

Idk, feels like kraken is too OP. There's basically no counterplay to it except run away. Also, you can pick up rainmaker during it making any critical push easy, you can stay on tower for free until it runs out and easily push into enemy zone in clam blitz with no way to be stopped.
I've always loved DUDE, but this video brought me back to WHY I fell in love with DUDE
One of my old mains is back and I couldn't be any happier. Except maybe if they brought back octobrush with kraken and beacons.... Which is now a possibility
I didn’t play Splat 1, so using Kraken is legit my favorite special now! So cool!

Hey I'm new to your channel and I love the content bro but one suggestion. It seems that the color of your gameplay is darker than it's supposed to be. In obs settings make sure in your elgato properties that you have the color range set to full and the number is "709". Love the vids!
Still not a fan of hammer but I'm ABSOLUTELY LOVING the new L3 so much
I love L3 but curling was not great for it and I didn't really want crab. Hammer is a little weak but you get the so fast with the L3 that even if you just chuck them it's handy.
I would have preferred splat bomb but burst works great with L3. You only need to land one burst of shots on them and then even an indirect from burst bomb takes them out

Never played this weapon before but when i tried out the kraken weapons i did t really like splat roller that much but this weapon combined with this kit feels so satisfying
I did this play with kraken today in rainmaker, where the rainmaker tryed to get up the wall on inkblot, but i surged up and ran him over mid swim 🤣

Kraken Royale is a lot of fun with the 96 Gal Deco for sure, im having a lot of fun with it even though I need to get used to this weapon and special more. I think it's a great addition to the lineup of Splatoon 3 specials for sure
Though I would recommend wearing gear with Ink Saver (Main) on it because this thing does tend to use up a lot of your ink tank
LDE is better in many cases bc it gives you multiple mains of both ink savers and ink recovery when the enemy team is at 30 score

It's like zipcaster but people can't just ignore you, it's like stamp but it actually works, it's like inkjet but you don't get immediately instigated by a charger, it's like crab but not stupid and lame, it's like baller but you don't get shredded in 2 seconds. god I'm so glad they didn't make it an hp special it would have been cheeks. I love kraken but I hope they buff every other aggressive special to match it because, I like zip and I've gotten the best I can get with it but there's times where I'm flicking the camera 180 degrees zipping on half the stage just to be able to get an angle of attack just to like, maybe get 1 person and then get recall camped 😭😭 like god damn just let me break through the 80 displacement specials splatoon devs please
