Awesome video's! I'm removing the dash on my 95 cherokee right now. I found that getting the dash bezel (or whatever it's called) off was much easier when I took the blinker lever off. Sucks because they're safety torx, but harbor freight sells the 100 piece security bit set for $7 with the coupon. Well worth the investment for this and for future projects I'd say.
Evap Purge is located in the engine compartment and has one small connector that is electrical, and two hoses. This is simple to remove and replace...just did mine for a 2001 Laredo.
This is a bitch of a job here. I did this on a 89 S-10 when I was in high school and cursed and swore more doing that job than I did my whole adult life.
+BuddyLe3 Well I have had the dash out of this XJ 3 times and I think the worst part is the intimidation of it. It's really not bad with a XJ you just have to give your self enough time to do the job and not rush things. And keep up with all the screws and bolts.
That was the worst part of the S-10...just keeping up with the screws that it took to hold the dash on. Glad to see XJ videos again on the channel. Do you have any long term goals for the XJ or are you just doing odds and ends projects.
Yea I have a lot of things planned weather permitting, and I get burnt out from time to time and have to just take a break from videos lol . I Replacing the dash with one that's not cracked, Replacing the broken part of the heater box, fixing the holes in the floor, and I acquired a V8 and 5 Speed transmission out of a low mileage 1989 5.0 Liter Mustang GT Muahahaha lol.

Engineers build the cars around the heater cores I'm convinced. F-150 is just as bad. Ugghh
That dash bezel comes off quite easily on my '88. The steering column is a bit different.

That's a T20 bud, not a T15...
