Phenomenal! Jean, my friend, You are a God Send! I just discovered this problem last night and struggled to understand and fix the issue. The next morning, *sound of angles singing*, you come through with the fix! I just downloaded the .zip file, installed it, and generated a rig with no problems. It seems to be working perfectly.

I have found a solution to the problem. If rigging crashes, then the car model is downloaded with the (empties (empty node)) You need to delete them by selecting an object on the main window and holding down (alt+p) and then select (clear and key transformation)
