I've done the cutting in half method for a few years and I can say that with the nextgen cars (and even the harvick cars from late 2021) they made it a lot more difficult to break so its not as simple anymore.
I got the Gen 6 Kevin Harvick Busch Light Car and my dad used pliers and straight up strength to get the base off, probably almost snapped some wheels off lol, car was perfectly fine and he succeeded
@@racecraze What I was meaning by this is Lionel sucks. I just got 4 diecasts today and all of them had very noticeable errors. Also the base on one of them is bent so it wobbles back and forth. And I didnt realize that the F150 molding is the same as the chevy and probably Toyota and is completely inaccurate to the actual truck.
What I do is just lay down the diecast on its roof on a soft carpet surface and a take a hammer and a smash the base in half Do it on a soft surface only Because on a hard surface there’s more of a change you’ll Damage the diecast

Thank you so much. This video was a lifesaver!
The fact that Lionel doesnt use regular or philips tells you everything you need to know about Lionel.
Probably a legal issue

I opt for a triangle head screwdriver once the hot glue is picked off exposing the screw
This worked really well thanks.
Great looking race car. It's definitely in my top 10 schemes of the year

I'll stick with the screw driver 😆.
How do you take the car off a winner circle stand
Haven't tried yet, next thing I'm gonna try
Lol I searched until a video on how to take off the base on a diecast and I'm using the same diecast
Does this same method work with the winners circle diecast
@@1_64_DCS I haven't tried yet, but I plan to

Hello!

Why is that car even on a base?
Some sponsors require it. McDonald's does it now too. And all beer sponsors do it
Ashoc is a energy drink
Most annoying thing ever
