I was on the fence about getting this book with a Roman Empire backgeound, but your review was well done and convinced me to buy the book. The review was through to peak my curiosity with out spoiling anything. Thank you.
I loved the first person present tense. I thin that's how I wish all books were written. I am a bit concerned that with the ending, the next book will altenerate between perspectives constantly.
I was recommended this book by a friend and after the first few chapters, I had to stop because I know how much I would love it. Having finished reading it now and i was right and am hating myself for not waiting, at least until the next book, because that ending was unreal. Love the review amd the channel.
Thank you, Mohamed! Thankfully, Islington is a pretty reliable author, so I don't see us waiting too much longer for the next book 😀 here's me wishing it will be a trilogy so I don't have to wait 7 more years but also me hoping it's 5 books long because I want as many books as he will give us 😅 thanks for checking out the channel!
This book is sooo fucking good. I binged it in a day. I reviewed it too and loved it. It's the best book of the year imo. The end is wild! Im dying for thr sequel. However, Megan O'Keefe's new sci-fi book The Blighted Stars (also reviewed it on my channel) is a very close second. That book needs more love. Please check it out. Its incredible. I got an ARC of the sequel The Devouring Dark and its just as good. I prefer the setting of book one, but book 2 is equally as great I'd say. Megan O'Keefe's pacing is some of the best in the business by the way. Its perfect pacing, just like this book.
Ooooh I like the synopsis of that one, I'll have to add it to my TBR, thank you for the rec! I'm so happy to hear you loved The Will of the Many as well! It's just so so good and I'm very much looking forward to the sequel(s). I can't help but hope it'll be longer than a trilogy, I just need more Islington works in my life!
i just finished the book and im speechless.. it threw me into a world i started to care about so much!
