    your mounds of weeds, If you could stack it somewhere upside down and make a pile and then cover it with the dreaded membrane and put some manure in between the layers and exclude the light it will make great loam for potting compost if you want John Innes its 7parts Loam 3 parts peat(or leafmould or I use peat free these days) and 2 parts Sharp sand then add fertiliser to the required strength or you could spread it on you plot with a bit of BF&B mixed in with it.
    Well done on what you've achieved

    Excellent job Dave and well done! You will have to look for a new shovel if you wear this one out. Caravan is in nice shape for the age, good spot to sit and watch things grow....or a place to crash after all that digging.
    Would you be able to snag a used manual push mower and use that on the grass paths? Might be easier than strimming most of it and might be able to get one cheap.

      Carve the jobs up into smaller areas/jobs, that's how I maintain motivation. I find looking at the whole picture quite daunting. Get some areas done and agree with yourself to leave some small bits for later (even next year) , that's how I do it anyway. I'm sure you don't need my advice but it's how I tackle big jobs. • @DigDaveDig
      @DigDaveDig  4 місяці тому

      They have their pros and cons to be honest, a lot of strimming, yes and you need to be careful of the edges, but any light weeding happening and you can just throw it on the grass, it looks nice, and also what are the low cost alternatives, wood chippings for that area would be a full time job for me and paving slabs wouldn't be right, its a balance really.
