    Power Tank Review Video!
    • CO2 Tank Fastest On ...
    This week we're taking a look at a brand new product on the marked from Apex Performance Products. The Apex 3.0 Rapid Precision Valves are a great new air valve that makes it easy to air your tires down when you're ready to hit the trails. I was able to take a quick trip up the mountains after getting the Apex Precision Valves installed on my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and I was amazed at the quality and performance of these valves. Check out my air tests to see how they compare to the other tire deflators I have been using! This tire deflator system is everything i thought it would be. Let me know what you think!

      Crazy fast! I'm very interested in these, thanks for the video. Roughly how tall are they from the wheel surface to the tip of the valve? I ask because my wheel has the valve toward the edge of the wheel and I wonder if I'd have to be real careful to not catch them on rocks. Thanks. 👍✌️

    Are these preset to a specific pressure setting of your choice or do they take your tire all the way flat unless you keep checking and stop it at your desired PSI? Asking because I am planning to get the Nomad wheels with air down valves but these would save a lot of money over the Nomad wheel and air down valve inserts if you could walk away and close the valve lever just before driving off.

    It's cool that it deflates so fast, but I still prefer my Staun deflators, because I don't have to sit 17 seconds at each tire + checking air pressure if it's at my desired psi or not. And while they deflate by themselves, I have other things to do like disconnect my swaybar, adjust my shocks, take a leak, etc. Now the quicker air up time, that's something I'm interested in. But, I just wouldn't run them as reliability is questionable when you can break them off so easily by catching a rock or a branch.

    • @RedRockCrawlers

  • @supersportimpalass
    @supersportimpalass 3 роки тому +1

    Cool but honestly don't think they are worth the price. They stick out way too far and being rigid mounted the risk of being broken off is too high imho. EZ Deflators are a much better option as they are adjustable. Screw them on then come back a few minutes later when you are finished with other things. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference in airing up either. Trail repair is going to be WAY easier with a rubber stem. Install quality high pressure HP600 valves and keep a Laser or AME valve install tool in your vehicle and you'll be back on the trail in seconds if you break one off. Or a couple Colby valves in your glove box that can be installed without dismounting the tire as well.

    • @RedRockCrawlers
      @RedRockCrawlers  3 роки тому +1

      I get what you’re saying. In all the years I’ve been wheeling I’ve never destroyed a tire valve or even hit one. But my wheels are designed to keep the valve tucked in rather than others. I also recommend anyone carry a tire kit on them with plugs and spare valves.

    • @supersportimpalass
      @supersportimpalass 3 роки тому +1

      @@RedRockCrawlers I havent either but I've had to replace them because they were cracked at the base of the stem. Possibly from age or prior wheeling... I run the shortest metal stems on my street vehicles that have aftermarket rims because I like the look and have never had one leak. Rubber on my offroad rigs and daily drivers. I just like the ability to easily change them on the trail without the hassle of unseating the bead. I'd be pretty upset breaking off a $30 stem and then breaking my back having to fix it on the trail.

    • @vitaminb4869
      @vitaminb4869 2 роки тому

      @@RedRockCrawlers These Apex ones are rigid, while normal stock valves are flexible and have give to them. That makes a huge difference whether you'll break one or not. With a ridig one it's way more likely to happen. Of course, if they're tucked in, then it's much better, but not all wheels have the valves tucked in. I did break a stock one once, and have a lot of rock rash on my wheels. Wouldn't trust Apex surviving that. It's just a matter of time before one breaks.

  • @mikep5336

    Can't really set it and forget it. You have to babysit you deflate to get to the pressure you want and have to guess (gauge) what the end pressure is. Coyote Deflaters seem tp better faster in the long run.

    • @RedRockCrawlers
      @RedRockCrawlers  3 роки тому +1

      having a preset pressure setting is a nice feature. These only take about 10 seconds to air down so i'm hardly having to wait on them. You can also use a different gauge then I did to watch or monitor the pressure as it drops.

    I’m actually watching your video because I’m trying to make it a lot easier and quicker to hit the trails for myself. But I can’t help but think how privileged we are to be spending money on silly things like this. It just boggles my brain on how much I’m willing to pay for convenience. What is 3 to 5 minutes per tire, going to gain me if I recoup that with an item that cost me so much money. I guess if I see somebody that needs help I’ll probably do that instead of investing in more tire deflating tools.
