Shag was one of the "local" bands that played the Midwest Rock Festival at the racetrack in State Fair Park, West Allis, WI, the "Milwaukee Mile". Shag played all 3 days and though I don't specifically remember them, I'm certain I enjoyed their music as much as Blind Faith, Led Zep, John Mayall, Joe Cocker and Johnny Winter, among the supergroups there. I enjoyed all three days of the festival, costing me over a day's pay for the tickets, a total of $15! It was a VERY heavy weekend!
My best to all,
Brew
The American flautist Paul Greenwald is up there with Tull, Ray Thomas of the Moody Blues and Thjis van Leer of Focus.
Klaus Meine sounds like lead vocalist Gordon Elliott. ( This album precedes Lonesome Crow 1972 )
Explosive fuzz/wah guitar. Amazing tone. Outstanding musicians from the dairyland. Great LP from the Badger State.
Клаус Майне? Skorpion? Это разве может быть?
Isso era rock.nao o que se toca hoje em dia...afff... parabéns pela postagem...
thank you, every day I l learn something about 60s and 70s.
Good era for the music !
I've discovered this jewel in 2010 or 2011. And it is still one of my favourite rock albums. Powerful, crazy, polyrhythmic, with fantastic vocal harmonies and heavy sound. Only God could help them to make such music.
These guy's were the house band at O'Brads in Milwaukee. I don't know the exact dates but I saw them in 1967 before they moved to California. I always had a good time at their shows.
Did it sound like the album if i may ask?
I shared this to Facebook hoping some of my fellow Wisconsinites may remember this band.
Another diamond from the golden days of Rock. Unreleased for more than 25 years, back in `69 with an album like this it would have made the band come out big.
From first track instant catchy beats🎧🔥
Que maravilha
good one, thanks
!!!fantastic!!!😄😄😄as allways, thanks for sharing
I enjoyed each of the 1778 seconds. THX
ian Anderson from Tull would love this great stuff
very very well
Espetacular 👍👍👍👍
This is some greatness.
Thanks for posting this.
Phenomenal album. Phenomenal band
Exelente grupo.
Mágico
Tks!!!
... this is new for me .... i never thought there were some "tull" sound reminiscences across the atlantic ocean ... of course shag have their own personal sound...... notably the american rockin' sound ....................... but there's a british "air" in their compositions....... anyway i like it ... thanks !!! .

''i never thought there were some "tull" sound reminiscences across the atlantic ocean'': what do you know, they aren't. When Paul "Green" Greenwald played his flute, there was one and only known Jethro Tull, the XVIIIth century agronomist; the band came a little later. Notwithstanding that Anderson is one of my darlings.
Nice one TY
the guitar solo in Lovely Lady sound like Stephen Stills playing .
muy buenos
cool!
imagine Glenn Hughes singing Lovely Lady .
Yes my friend yes!!!
got some jethrotulesque feeling
La voix du chanteur me fait penser à Michael Sadler du groupe Saga.
Is this band Jetro tull and Scorpions conect?
tullish
kookiecanuck add a lil steppenwolf and War
kookiecanuck I agree!

I THINK THE OUTFITS ARE AHEAD OF TIME.
