I love that Mitch and Scott met while doing a stage production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when they were 8 or 9 years old, now here they are, along with the rest of PTX, revisiting this iconic song. One of the “floatiest” mash-ups around! Christmastime is Here is from a TV special that aired every year for ages in the US, A Charlie Brown Christmas, so many of us are very familiar with that one. I have no problem hearing the occasional Christmas song throughout the year, particularly if it’s PTX. Or Bruce Springsteen’s Santa Claus is Coming to Town, that one is good all year ‘round as well. Recommend their video, “Pentatonix -The Recording Of Evergreen”. It shows their creative process in making their Grammy nominated Evergreen album. It was directed by Kirstin’s boyfriend, now husband, Ben Hausdorff.
The song and the video are just magical! Their mashups are unbeatable.

You may know you're a true pentaholic if you listen to Christmas songs year-round. So MUCH of their discography is Christmas music that it's hard to avoid them.
This is one of three songs from their 2023 Christmas album, "The Greatest Christmas Hits," that I think may prove Grammy-worthy. The other two are "O Holy Night" and "Kiss From a Rose."

Oh, yes, one other recommendation. Do you remember the Pulse massacre from 2016? Pulse was a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, and in 2016 a gunman shot and killed 49 people there and wounded 53 more. Police eventually shot and killed the gunman, after a three hour standoff. It was a horrific hate crime.
As the gay contingent of Pentatonix, SuperFruit felt a need to respond. So they found three other singers who are also all members of the LGBTQ+ community and the five of them recorded a wonderful rendition of Katy Perry's "Rise," both for and on behalf of their community.
The five singers are Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Brian Justin Crum, Mario Jose, and Mary Lambert. Coming from these five singers, in this circumstance, "Rise" becomes a powerful affirmation of self-worth and empowerment. Highly recommended.

Well, I've already mentioned that I think their latest recording of "O Holy Night" is Grammy-worthy, so obviously it's on my list of recommendations. That said, I've just been runmaging through your Pentatonix playlist, and you've already reacted to most of my usual recommendations. There are a few left, however.

I notice that you've somehow managed to miss "O Come All Ye Faithful." I know, another Christmas song. Well, this is THE Pentatonix Christmas carol that makes people want to listen to their Christmas music year-round. I challenge you to listen to it without dancing.
