We use a selection of these plugins and they can be subtle but choosing a soft light blend mode for the D&B plugin (the checkmark box at the top of the screen) and adjusting its opacity does allow more range of control; also, painting on that layer in black or white, 100% opacity and 2% flow allows even more control.

I've been using these plugins (Heal, D&B, Portrait Volumes, and most recently Mattifier). They do an amazing job at doing some significant heavy lifting. In some cases, it does all the work for me and I can move on to the next photo. As mentioned, you can manage the opacity of the effect being applied. All 4 of these plugins are quickly replacing the need for me to use frequency separation. There is also a retouch4me PS plugin panel that runs the plugins much faster. Oh, you can have the app create a separate layer mask and you can easily see what is being clean up. Again, the app does a very subtle adjustment that I've grown to love.

Agree with your comments. Personally I love these plugins because they do a lot of the heavy lifting and give me a far better starting point, than not having them. They take less than a minute to run and save me a lot of time in my retouching process. Generally I do some minor D&B and other cleaning after they have been run. A thumbs up from me!
I have Heal, D&B, Portrait Volumes, Skin Tone, Eye Brilliance and Mattifier.

I have quite a few presets. They were made for Lightroom but they are easily used for photoshop also since they reside in the same place. My most productive at the moment is made by Vanessa Joy. I have some AI for Portraits but they do lack in quickness and coverage in many areas whereas regular presets affect the entire image very quickly and very adjustable. The only plugin I have and use when all else fails is Portrait Pro.
